Raymond Day is a major character in the BBC series Limmy's Show, acting as the protagonist of the "Paraside" segments. He is a talk show host who claims to have the ability to communicate with the dead, something he uses to torment and emotionally manipulate/damage his audience.
He was portrayed by Limmy himself who also created the show and portrayed the majority of its other characters including John Paul and the Building Bricks Man
History[]
General[]
The overall premise of Raymond's segments is that he will list out a few vague descriptions of something that an audience member will eventually speak up as something they can relate to, he will then manipulate and smugly tell the audience member about the family member or loved one he is seemingly communicating with.
Sketches[]
TBA
Personality[]
Raymond Day is a very smug and sadistic man, who takes great pleasure in tormenting, upsetting and making his audience feel uncomfortable through telling them about their deceased relatives and the current terrible predicaments surrounding them. He is fairly polite however in spite of this and does sometimes appear to be genuinely happy just to reunite an audience member with their deceased relative.
It's also unknown whether or not he is genuinely a psychic or just using it as an excuse for publicity and a show gimmick.
Appearance[]
Raymond Day is a tall slim man always dressed sharply in a navy blue or sometimes dark gray suit with a charcoal shirt. He has slightly bronzed skin, slicked back brown hair and blue eyes, alongside eyebrows which constantly appear to be arching as though he's in deep thought or concerned about something. He also has several eccentric mannerisms and movements whenever he's performing.
Trivia[]
- He appears to be a parody of several talk show hosts with similar gimmicks who claim to be physics that can talk with the dead.
- His dress sense also resembles that of Jeremy Kyle.
