Raymond Martin is the main antagonist of the graphic novel Godzilla X Kong Hunted. Raymond was a survivor of G-Day, the event where Godzilla defeated the two Mutos, although his family didn't. Vengeful he decided to put humanity back on top against the Titans, starting by killing Kong.

History[]
Years following G-Day, Martin began to hunt and kill several smaller Titans, several of which he had stuffed into trophies. After the defeat of MechaGodzilla, Martin decided to put his plan into motion. Using his company, Martin developed the Titan Hunter mech, which killed several Titans, including a mother Spineprowler. With his connections to Monarch, Raymond was able to smuggle the Titan Hunter into Hollow Earth to kill Kong. Knowing Godzilla would try to help Kong, Martin unleased several radiation beacons across the planet to lure the Titans on the surface away from Hollow Earth. The Titan Hunter then proceeded to defeat Kong in battle and would have succeeded had it not been for the intervention of the Spineprowler cubs of the deceased mother. Raymond mocked Kong, believing the Alpha couldn't comprehend his intelligence, only for Kong to trick Martin into going to an unstable piece of cliff, causing the machine to fall, killing Raymond.
Trivia[]
- Raymond Martin's name is likely a reference to Raymond Burr who played Steve Martin in Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956) and Godzilla (1985).
- Another Martin was mentioned in post credits of Godzilla King of Monsters as a newspaper writer.
- Martin is somewhat similar to Walter Simmons from the earlier Godzilla vs. Kong, being the CEO of a company which constructs a Titan-killing mech, but who is ultimately killed by a Titan that exploits his arrogance. In the case of Simmons, however, he was killed by his own creation, Mechagodzilla, rather than by the Titan(s) he intended to use it against.
