Raymond "Red" Reddington was the alias used by the enigmatic main protagonist of the NBC series The Blacklist. He was a criminal mastermind who assisted the FBI in finding other notorious criminals, many of which the organization didn't even know existed.

He was portrayed by James Spader, who also portrayed Eddie Dutra in The New Kids, Lee Woods in 2 Days in the Valley, Stewart Swinton in Wolf, Mr. Richards in Mannequin, Rip in Less Than Zero, Mr. Black in Shorts, Robert California in the US version of The Office, and Ultron in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

• He is one of the most wanted fugitives in the world with a massive bounty on his head from every agency.
• The true identity of Raymond Reddington is never revealed. The most famous and most popular theory is that Raymond is Katerina Rastova, who underwent a sex change. However, various details throughout the series make that theory fall flat.
  • Something that completely refutes the theory that Red is Katerina is that in the conclusion of the episode, Mr. Kaplan reveals that Dembe knows who Red is, and from what he tells him, he isn't Katerina, but that she did something to him.
