~ Villard telling his henchmen (in French) to massacre everyone else in the colosseum to get to Frank.
First, I'm going to shoot your right knee. Then I'm gonna shoot the other one. You got that, homie? Until you tell me where my diamonds are.
~ Raymond threatening Frank to get back his diamonds.

Raymond Villard is the main antagonist of the 1997 action buddy-comedy film Money Talks.

He is a French crime lord who orchestrates a "Commando-style raid" on a prison bus in order to escape undetected, with the only other survivor being Frank Hatchett, becoming both his and James Russell's arch-nemesis in the process.

He was portrayed by Gérard Ismaël.

History[]

Raymond Villard is a psychopathic French crime lord who has a long rapsheet of crimes, including multiple murders and a jewelry heist in London. He was seen in a prison transport unit being handcuffed to Franklin Hatchett, regularly yelling at him and threatening to kill him if he doesn't shut up. However, Villard's mercenaries then attack the transport unit bus on the bridge, blowing up the bus, and kill all the prisoners and police inside who are on fire, with Villard and Hatchett being the only two left alive and the two escape on a helicopter.

After having a conversation with his right-hand man Debray about the jewelry from London being stashed in a Jaguar they would bid for at the Auto Expo, they planned to kill Hatchett by throwing him out over land. When Hatchett jumps out early and makes it to water, Villard and Debray open fire on him to kill him, but fail and escape on their helicopter. Unfortunately for Hatchett, Villard's raid on the bus incriminates him and puts him in danger. Later, Villard and Debray look for Hatchett and Russell after spotting them outside a club, in which Villard shoots an innocent store owner to death, which is framed on Hatchett and Russell again.

At the Auto Expo, Hatchett and Russell's fiance's father manage to outbid Villard, much to the anger of Villard, who makes gestures threatening to kill Hatchett and his friend. He then has Debray chase Hatchett throught the streets in a public car chase. Soon after, Villard abducts James Russell and threatens to kill him unless Hatchett returns the stolen gems to him. Hatchett gives the diamonds to Villard's men later on during a huge gunfight that he orders, and they all try to reach for them. The police show up, and Villard attempts to flee in the helicopter. However, as he rises off the ground, the grenades Russell had set off earlier detonate, killing Villard.
