I'm gonna smack you purple.
~ Razor threatening Gumball, Darwin and Clayton.

Razor is the titular main antagonist of The Amazing World of Gumball episode "The Skull."

After Gumball, Darwin, and Clayton accidentally trashed the locker room, they invented a fictional person to frame for the crime. However, Miss Simian and Principal Brown ended up suspending Razor, who matched the made-up description. Upon returning from suspension, Razor came to Elmore Jr. High to seek revenge on the trio who incriminated him. In the end, Clayton launched himself through a clay-molded bazooka to obliterate Razor.

However, it was later revealed that this part of the story took place in Clayton's imagination, and the real Razor is scrawny and completely harmless.

Appearance[]

In Clayton's story, Razor is depicted as a gigantic, muscular, and imposing humanoid with a green skull for a face and purple skin. He has long, black, greasy hair and pale yellow eyes. His arms and shoulders are extremely brawny, disproportionately so compared to his legs, and his arms are covered in dark purple tattoos. He wears a ripped magenta t-shirt, yellow pants, and black shoes.

While the actual Razor looks about the same, he is much smaller, scrawnier, and wears black glasses.

Biography[]

The episode begins with Gumball and Darwin frantically yelling and panicking in the locker room, while Miss Simian bangs on the door, shouting for them to take a shower. When Clayton breaks off the water pipe by mistake, it starts spraying everywhere. Desperate, Clayton covers the pipe with his mouth, which causes him to fly uncontrollably around the locker room, wreaking havoc and eventually causing it to set on fire.

In the principal's office, Principal Brown demands an explanation. Gumball tries to explain, but Clayton jumps in, claiming they caught someone trying to steal from the lockers. He lies, saying there was a fight, and that Gumball and Darwin came out of the shower to help him stop the thief. When Miss Simian asks what the thief looked like, Gumball lies too, describing the culprit as having a large skull. The two believe it, praise the boys, and tell them to leave his office and get dressed.

Clayton disguises as Principal Brown to manipulate Gumball and Darwin into telling the truth to him without Brown ever hearing, but Miss Simian comes in and reminds Clayton (still in disguise) that Razor, a previously unknown individual, is coming back from suspension for smashing up the locker room. Clayton is shocked to see that Razor physically resembles the culprit that Gumball made up. Back in the hallway, Clayton tells Gumball and Darwin that the "skull guy" is real. Initially, they don't believe him, but then suddenly, the skull guy bursts through a wall and starts attacking them. Clayton leaps at Razor but is quickly smashed by his guitar. Although Clayton is split into several pieces, he's unharmed and transforms into a swarm of wasps that attack Razor. He then turns into a concrete block and hits Razor in the head. This only enrages Razor, causing his arms to grow larger and more muscular. Clayton calls for help, and Darwin shoves Gumball onto Clayton, who transforms into a jet. They fly towards Razor, with Clayton shooting parts of himself at high speed. Razor retreats and hides in a room, continuing to grow. While Gumball and Clayton are busy complimenting each other, they don’t notice Razor’s guitar in their path, and they crash into a locker. Razor continues growing, so Clayton transforms into a horse and carries Gumball and Darwin away. They smash through a window, but Razor, now too large, can't follow. As they celebrate, Razor suddenly reappears, breaking through the wall with his hands. Cornered, Clayton turns into a rocket launcher. Gumball and Darwin carry him and aim at Razor as he charges toward them. Clayton warns them not to fire yet. Just as Razor closes in, they finally pull the trigger, sending Clayton flying at him.

It’s then revealed that the whole scene is just another one of Clayton’s tall tales. Gumball, Darwin, and Clayton are in Principal Brown’s office, where Clayton is making up stories again. Gumball explains that he invented the "skull guy," and it just happened to resemble Razor. The real Razor, who is actually very skinny, had only come to thank them, as his suspension boosted his band's popularity a bit.
