“ | Someday, I hope to make the whole world like this... Efficient, that is. Not, not controlled entirely by me. That would be totally egomaniacal. Unless they wanted me to. | „ |
~ Reagan Ridley. |
Reagan Ridley is the main protagonist of the Netflix adult animated sci-fi television series Inside Job.
She is the head of robotics of Cognito Inc. and the daughter of Rand Ridley. While brilliant and intelligent, she lacks proper people skills and is generally annoyed with her team, while trying to run the world to make it a better place overall. Although she does have good intentions, she works for the villainous company of Cognito Inc., where she does many morally dubious actions as per her work.
She was voiced by Lizzy Caplan, who also played Tina Greer in Smallville, Patty Donner in The Cleveland Show, Annie Wilkes in Castle Rock and Alex Forrest in the remake TV miniseries Fatal Attraction.
Personality[]
Reagan is shown to be a brilliant, socially anxious, ambitious and work-focused woman, who attempts to make the world a better place. She is shown to be highly intelligent and good at robotics, managing to make perfect robots and machines and was able to be ahead of her classes when she was young.
However, she also lacks proper social skills, making it hard for her to connect emotionally and make friends. She is shown to be Wildly ambitious and work heavy focus, spending nights all by herself doing work on projects, in hopes of one day running Cognito Inc. and hopes to help make the world a better place, even if Cognito's works are unethical.
Her no-nonsense and lack of social skills made her generally annoyed with her co-workers and team, tired of their goofy antics, although eventually, she warms up to the team more as she learns to keep her friends in her heart more. Her lack of social skills and brilliance stems from her poor relationship with her parents, as it's shown that she never was loved by either of her parents and was pushed to work hard more by them, making it so she had less emotional connection and more intelligence.
Appearance[]
Reagan is a 30 year old, half-Japanese woman with tanned skin, brown hair that is tied into a messy ponytail, and bags under her eyes. She is normally seen wearing dark green pants and a grey polo shirt underneath a white lab coat.
