The Red Dragon Crime Syndicate are the main antagonists of the sci-fi anime series Cowboy Bebop.

The Red Dragons are the most powerful criminal empire in the solar system and the former employers of Spike Spiegel. Led by the Van and seeking to expand their rule, the Syndicate sends their top enforcer, Vicious, to carry out their drug deals and eliminate any witnesses.

Members

Leadership

• The Van: A trio of old men who show no tolerance on those who oppose them and will try and have them punished for their actions. They also talk about how dragons cannot be eaten by snakes.
• Vicious: A Titan Veteran whose heart is described as colder than the skin of a snake. He considers himself the sole person who should kill Spike. He also has no issues killing other members of the syndicates and later usurps control of the organization.

Agents

• Mao Yenrai: Another member of the syndicate who sought to bring prosperity to the Red Dragon syndicate by signing a contract with the White Tiger syndicate before Vicious had it all sabotaged before killing him. His fate was regarded as "bad luck" by the Van.
• Lin: A member of the syndicate who was assigned to Vicious following Mao's "unlucky" fate. He also is very cautious of going against the Van's will and is siding with Vicious out of honor for the syndicate.

Crafts

• Mothership: A massive red ship marked with a golden dragon symbol that serves as one of the syndicate's bases.

Related Organizations

• White Tiger Syndicate: A crime group Mao Yenrai signed a contract with to form relations between it and the Red Dragon Syndicate before Vicious' machinations.
