The Red Eye is a minor antagonist in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise.
It is a Badnik robot that first appears in Sonic & Knuckles. It appears as a boss when Sonic and Tails reach the Death egg. Red Eye was left inside the pillar to fight Sonic and Tails but it was defeated and left there. Later when the Death egg crashed into an island, Red Eye would inhabit Scrapnik Island and become a member of the Scrapniks. Red Eye would be redeemed and thinking of Sonic as an ally than a foe.
History[]
Sonic & Knuckles[]
Red Eye would appear in the Death Egg zone once Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails reached it. Red Eye would use spikes and spheres against Sonic and Tails. The boss fight of Red Eye would have two phases. The first phase of the battle, Red Eye would use Spikes against Sonic and Tails. In the second phase, Red eye would use a laser beam using its eye against Sonic and Tails. Red Eye would be defeated. Later when the Death Egg would fall and Red Eye would crash into an island.
Scrapnik Island[]
After Sonic & Knuckles, Red Eye would become a Scrapnik. Red Eye would not think of Sonic as an enemy anymore due to Eggman's programming fading out. Red Eye would spy on Sonic and Tails once they reach the island. Red Eye does this so that Mecha Sonic can get information on Sonic and Tails.
Sega and All Stars Racing[]
After Sonic & Knuckles, Red Eye would be mass produced to replace the original. Red Eyes are seen at the end of the finish line.
Sonic Forces[]
Mass Produced Red Eyes would be on rebuilt Death Egg. They would spy on Resistance members.
Sonic Superstars[]
Multiple Mass Produced Red Eyes would attack the heroes in Egg Fortress Zone.
Personality[]
The first Red Eye is a mute but cold and calculating robot that follows Eggman's commands. The first Red Eye is shown to have a hatred towards Sonic and Tails but after it arrives in Scrapnik Island, the eggman programming would wear out. This would cause the first Red Eye to not have a hatred towards Sonic and Tails anymore but it still remains the cold and calculating aspect of its programming.
