Red Moon is the secondary antagonist of the Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir episode "Emotion". She was a full moon-like Sentimonster created by Argos to help him realize his idea of a perfect world for himself, Marinette, Adrien, and Kagami Tsurugi by erasing everyone else from existence.
History[]
Prior to the events of the episode, Argos placed an Amok into his own ring, manifesting Red Moon from his hatred toward Gabriel Agreste. He uses her to make his cousin Adrien disappear from existence, and, on the night of Gabriel's Diamonds' Dance party, attends in disguise as him and dances with Marinette. When she realizes that he is Félix because he called the other partygoers "monsters" for mocking her (which she believes the real Adrien would never say), he transforms into Argos and brings out Red Moon, using her to make all the party attendees (excluding Marinette and Kagami) disappear from existence.
After Ladybug tricks Argos into bringing back all the people he erased by tricking him into thinking he accidentally erased Marinette, Adrien's girlfriend, and is unable to bring her back, he realizes that Red Moon is too powerful to keep around lest he gets carried away and starts abusing her power. Addressing the Sentimonster as "sister", he tearfully recalls her Amok, dispelling Red Moon, and then breaks down crying at her demise.
Appearance[]
Red Moon, as her name indicates, looks similar to a full moon but red in color, resembling a blood moon during a lunar eclipse.
Powers and abilities[]
She can also float and size shift, her smallest seen size being as small as a small orb/sphere and the biggest one seen being as big as an actual moon
Anyone under the light emitted by Red Moon can be made to disappear from existence and reappear at will by Argos with the snap of his finger. However, when Argos wanted to make someone reappear, he needed to have a clear image of that person, as he was unable to bring Marinette back when he believed that he had made her disappear accidentally, despite the fact he made her disappear when she was Ladybug, as he didn't know they are the same person. If someone is wearing a Miraculous, then it would also disappear along with the Kwami.
A way to escape Red Moon (besides getting Argos' sympathy and/or mercy) is to being sheltered from the light. As long as the light is not bathing them (even if inside of its range), the individuals would be safe.

- Red Moon is the first Sentimonster to be used directly against Gabriel Agreste/Hawk Moth.
- This Can be considered the most powerful Sentimonster of all due to the fact that, for the first time in the series, Ladybug uses her Lucky charm for some kind of answer to this threat and receives... absolutely nothing. The universe was probably just telling her to accept her fate and let Felix's better nature win out, and while that eventually does happen, just imagine how bleak it must have looked to her...
- Red Moon is one of five Sentimonsters in the show to be referred to by a gendered pronoun, the other four being Adrien Agreste, Félix Fathom, Reflekdoll, and the Ladybug Sentimonster.
- In the cases of Reflekdoll and the Ladybug Sentimonster, this was because they were modeled after females (Reflekta and Ladybug, respectively), while Red Moon isn't, instead being modeled after a moon.
