Biography[]
The Red Star Commander is the main antagonist of the video game Heavy Weapon Deluxe. He is a ruthless tyrant who leads the Red Star Army, a militarized superpower representing a twisted, totalitarian version of a global communist regime. Though he rarely appears directly, his presence looms over the entire conflict, fueling the war machine with propaganda, cult of personality, and overwhelming military force.
In the year 1984, the Commander launches a sudden global invasion, forcing the Allied forces into a desperate retreat. With the fall of democracy imminent, the free world resorts to its final line of defense: the Atomic Tank, an experimental vehicle capable of fighting off an entire army on its own.
Throughout the game, the Commander’s forces escalate their attacks, deploying everything from helicopters and submarines to massive mechanical bosses, showcasing the vast resources under his control. In the second half of the campaign, he mobilizes his strategic reserves, yet even that fails to stop the Atomic Tank’s advance.
In the final battle, the Red Star Commander appears in person as the ultimate boss. Despite fierce resistance, he is defeated. After surrendering, he is executed by the Atomic Tank’s pilot to prevent any resurgence of his regime. With his death, the Red Star Army collapses, and the free world is saved.
