| ~ Reggie's explaining his motive for murder. |
Reggie Bates is the main antagonist of Case #33 of Criminal Case: Mysteries of the Past.
Biography[]
Reggie became a suspect when his cafe becomes a crime scene. When informed about the murder, he said that he was very sad as he lost a loyal customer. Madeline asked if anyone was suspicious around Baldwin, but Reggie said that the cafe is open 24/7 so everyone comes and go's as they please, and so he doesn't keep an eye on them.
Reggie was spoken to again when Madeline and the player finds out that the victims was going to shut the place down. Reggie said that the victim's daughter, Adelia Baldwin complained that her coffee tasted like it was Spiked, when it wasn't. Reggie was furious and said that he would have lost his license to a incompetent man like Baldwin.
Reggie was then found guilty for the murder. Reggie said that he killed Baldwin because he was spying on the Italians. Madeline said that it was funny that Reggie, a Irish cared so much about the Italian gang. Reggie then said that when his parents died, the Italians took him in and treated him like their own, and said that as Italians always say: "Family comes First". Upon hearing this, Judge Justin Lawson then sentenced him to life in prison with no chance of parole.
In the additional investigation, Isaac and the player went to ask Reggie what Horatio Rochester's telegraph machine was doing in his possession. The player then reminded Isaac about the message that Baldwin knew about the Italians' "plan". Reggie then said that he wasn't going to snitch on his "family" and that the "coppers" must move along.
