Biography[]
The Bad Guys: Haunted Heist[]
We first hear about Scary when Mr. Wolf tells the Bad Guys that Scary was a greedy thief who lived long before the Bad Guys' time. Wolf goes on to explain that Scary prized one piece of loot over the others - the Crescent Amulet. We learn that Scary locked himself inside his mansion with the amulet for his last few years of life, and vowed to haunt anyone who stole the loot forever. Wolf then reveals his plans for the Bad Guys to rob Reginald E. Scary's mansion. The Bad Guys disagree, calling it another excuse for Wolf to scare them on Halloween, but Wolf eventually convinces the group to come. Later, as the Bad Guys prepare for their heist, many of the group members worry about the fact that the mansion might be haunted, with Mr. Snake mentioning the Westside Wallabies, who were presumably thieves, that vanished after attempting to loot Scary's mansion. Wolf questions if his friends really believe in the rumors, before the group leave for the mansion. Upon arrival at the mansion, Snake, Mr. Shark, Mr. Piranha, and Ms. Tarantula are clearly spooked by the creepy atmosphere. Entering the mansion, the Bad Guys are faced with many spooky occurrences, which are all eventually proven to be random objects powered by mechanisms to make it seem like the place is haunted. The Bad Guys eventually find the Crescent Amulet and take it back to their lair, but not before Wolf pranks his friends on the way out, much to his friends' disappointment. Over the span of a couple of days, Wolf hears the musical melody played by a supposedly haunted piano at the mansion that he had heard on his previous visit, which drives Wolf mad. He also experiences a nightmare where he is back in the mansion. When Wolf awakens, he is told that Piranha was taken by Scary's ghost after the group find a stork feather. As the group arrive at the mansion for a second time to find Piranha, they are met with a ghostly version of Piranha. Eventually, all members of the Bad Guys other than Wolf are caught by the ghostly figure. As Wolf is surrounded by the Bad Guys' ghosts, along with the ghost of Scary, it is revealed that the ghost figures, Piranha's kidnapping, the music that had been bothering Wolf and the nightmare, with the help of modern technology, was all a massive prank played on Wolf by the other Bad Guys. As the group leave the mansion laughing, Wolf plays yet another prank on the Bad Guys, terrifying them. Wolf then reveals that it is a prank, and that he was in on the Bad Guys' prank on him, much to the other Bad Guys anger.
Trivia[]
- The 'E' in Reginald E. Scary's name was likely not the real initial for Scary's middle name, as the letter is used in a puzzle at his mansion.
- He is the second bird character to be introduced in the franchise (the first being Agent Doom from the books), however he is introduced in a movie rather than a book.
