Renzo is the main antagonist of the Netflix adult animated series Farzar.

He is the evil dictator of Dome City, a glorious high-class metropolis on the planet Farzar, exclusive to humans only and closed off from the rest of the world by an impenetrable energy dome. Renzo's worst enemy is Bazarack Killdiedeath an alien ruler on Farzar, who leads the alien people of The Netherlands, who vows to someday infiltrate Dome City and kill Renzo. Renzo is the father of Prince Fichael, the main protagonist of the series, whose goal is to get him to change his villainous ways and start treating Bazarack and the aliens with the respect they deserve.

He was voiced by the late Lance Reddick, who also voiced Agent Clappers in Paradise PD, General Lunaris in the 2017 DuckTales reboot, Steven Erickson in Invincible, and Thordak in The Legend of Vox Machina.

Biography

Over 30 years ago, Renzo and his army of humans first came to Farzar to colonize their land and build Dome City there. There, they started by forcing the alien natives off their land, ravaging their resources, killing thousands of their people, and destroying their culture. There, Renzo and his army built their city, which was far fancier and more high-tech than the horrible barren wasteland outside. Renzo made this a city exclusive to the humans, where the aliens would not be allowed to go anywhere near. In order to ensure this, he constructed a colossal, impenetrable energy dome around the city to block out any non-human citizens.

Even though he took part in creating Dome City, Renzo was not the official leader of the city. Instead, that honor went to Flammy, who was the queen of the humans. Renzo married Flammy, an older woman, not because he loved her, but because he desired power and wanted to be in charge of Dome City. After becoming Czar, he enforced all of the rules and laws supporting human supremacy. Renzo and Flammy would also have a child, Prince Fichael, who Renzo loved with all his heart, despite being regularly disappointed in the way he turned out. Although given that flashbacks establish that Renzo was still a horrible father even before the series began.

As the ruler of Dome City, Renzo acts more like a dictator by doing things such as lying to his people and corrupting his government to lead everyone to believing he's a morally righteous hero. Renzo bombards people with self-promotional propaganda, which depicts him as a benevolent saint. In his city's public education system, Renzo has the history classes teach the false narrative that humans were actually on Farzar first until the aliens tried to invade. Renzo also censors the media, omitting anything negative people say against him. If anyone ever does speak out against Renzo or oppose him in any way, Renzo will most likely have them either arrested or even killed.

Appearance

Renzo is a tall, musclebound, dark-skinned adult man with long, flowing blond hair that billows in the wind and glistens in the sun. He wears a white suit with golden rims and blue parts on it and also a glowing cyan headband.

Personality

Renzo is a dictatorial tyrant, who rules over Dome City with an iron fist. He is very abusive and evil toward his citizens and does a whole bunch of evil things to torture them. He is an egotistical, self-absorbed man, who is in love with himself. He surrounds himself with people who worship and praise him, either because he forces or manipulates them into doing so. Renzo's ego is constantly being fueled and reaffirmed by his claque of sycophants, which proves that he's secretly very insecure and needs this consistent confirmation just to keep himself from realizing how much of a horrible person he is. Deep down, Renzo is actually a loving father, who cares for his son, Fichael. Unfortunately, he does a horrible job at expressing his love and an even worse job at being his father. Renzo is abusive, neglectful, and disrespectful toward Fichael and treats him like dirt.

Villainous Acts

• Welcome to Farzar
  • Colonizing Farzar and causing the genocide and removal of the alien natives.
  • Marrying Flammy only for power and creating a human-supremacist society out of Dome City.
  • Lying to the youth of his kingdom (along with his own son Fichael) with fabricated history textbooks.
  • Forcing his servants to kill themselves just for witnessing him fail to do a backflip.
  • Insulting Fichael for his birthday wish to become a general and later throwing together an insultingly half-assed assault team for him just to shut him up.
  • Bribing Scootie with drugs to sabotage Fichael's mission to kill Bazarack.
  • Lying to Flammy about Fichael getting kidnapped and trapping her in a closet to keep her out of his way.
  • Several dark actions about his past were revealed in Bazarack's song;
    • Using the corpses of aliens as sleds.
    • Using the severed heads of aliens to play volleyball with.
    • Crucifying alien pets.
    • Eating alien babies as a regular snack to go with his croquettes.
    • Ravaging the wealth and riches of the alien people and turning it into a colossal golden toilet.
    • Constructing a giant blender and grinding elderly alien women into a liquid so that he can use it as a cream to exfoliate his face.
    • Committing genital mutilation by tying Meezo's penis into a knot.
    • Defecating in Gorpzorp's mailbox.
    • Kicking Silah in the vagina.
    • Parking his car in a handicapped parking spot, which was supposed to be reserved for a handicapped alien.
  • When Fichael told Renzo that he knew the truth about his past, Renzo scared him with an ambiguous threat about what he'd do if he ever "threatened" him.
  • Used the severed head of Bazarack to play beach volleyball once again.
• Robot Revolution
  • Deterred Fichael from any conversation regarding his treatment of the aliens by giving him a "bullshit meter", which he'd raise if he ever mentioned any topic he didn't like.
  • Treating robots like sub-human slaves and forcing them all to do his dirty work for him and even segregating them to a robot district so that they wouldn't live in the regular part of town with the humans.
    • He uses a robot toilet that feels torment, which Renzo takes sadistic pleasure in torturing.
  • Forbidding the creation of art in public schools, be it visual or musical and later having a child executed for making a Papier-mâché sculpture.
  • Sending out Fichael to quell the robot protestors without negotiating any basic rights for them.
  • Attempting to have Scootie executed for demanding equality to the humans. Renzo called off the execution, when he discovered that Scootie was technically a 1% human cyborg.
• Save the Reaper Demons
  • Summoned Domestic Violence Bot to come up and burn Fichael with a cigarette after hearing him create a wildlife sanctuary for the Reaper Demons.
    • Had all information about the Reaper Demon Wars omitted from the public school systems since he lost the war in a very disgraceful fashion. As a result only a limited number of the human population were fully aware of how dangerous the Reaper demons were. He later narcissistically states was more heroic in his truthful defeat and surrender than in his fabricated story of him slaughtering various Reaper demons before succumbing to bone spurs.
  • Calling The SHAT Squad down to Fichael's Reaper Demon Sanctuary to have all of his reaper demons killed.
  • Lying to Fichael his entire childhood about imaginary creatures called "Space Pirates", who prevented him from engaging in any father-son endeavors with him or helping him when he was in need of medical attention.
• St. Pudchugger's Day
  • Created a clone of himself to have sex with Flammy on Pudchugger's Day so that he wouldn't have to (Rape via deception). He lied to his clone and said that he was saving the world from the apocalypse by doing this.
  • Beat Barry with a Say Yesatron and then stole his cloning machine to make more clones of himself.
  • Burned all of his faulty clones in the incinerator, despite them all being sentient.
• The Adventures of Daddy O'Baggins
  • Enforced racist anti-immigration policies against aliens and even watched in amusement as aliens tried to emigrate to Dome City and die trying.
  • Cheated on Flammy by going down to a whorehouse and having sex with alien pornstar, Tammy Tentacles. This got him pregnant with an alien child, which he immediately wanted killed.
  • Enforced anti-abortion policies in Dome City and claimed it was because of his irrational desire to control women.
  • Broke his own pro-life law by getting an underground abortion from Barry Barris.
• Flammily Reunion
  • Renzo did nothing to help aid Fichael in escaping getting raped by his cousins in a mass incest orgy. He seemingly didn't care about his son losing his innocence and instead just smoked pot with Uncle Wig.
  • Renzo attempted to suffocate Flammy’s brother/ex-finacé Splammy in his sleep with a pillow our of jealousy, despite the fact that he had cheated on Flammy multiple times and seemingly doesn't even love her anymore.
• Baz, Bangs, & Brains
  • Renzo forced everyone in Dome City to wear mind-reading helmets (controlled by the Mega Brain) that would display their thoughts out loud at all times. If anyone were to think any negative thoughts, Renzo would have them arrested by his Thought Police.
  • The Mega Brain would soon be updated to have the mind-reading helmets explode people's brains if they ever had any negative thoughts, whatsoever. This led to the mass genocide of several innocent people in Dome City.
• The Great and Powerful Ozner
  • Renzo brainwashed the people of Dome City with the false religion of Ozner, which was made up of rules that benefited him.
    • One of the things he did was outlaw sex so that he could get out of having sex with Flammy. Renzo didn't seem to care about how this effected everyone else in Dome City.
    • Renzo also had everyone in Dome City waste their time, going down to Carl's Jr. so they could buy some Cluckinators to feed him.
    • Worst of all, Renzo ordered every woman in Dome City with "at least a B-Cup" to jump rope topless outside his window, so that he could watch them for his own sexual pleasure.
    • He gives Ficheal a Dutch Oven.
  • Renzo tried to use Ficheal as a sacrifice to Ozner. Then, when Ozner redeemed himself and was about to cure cancer, Renzo killed him right before he could.
• Memory Wars
  • Renzo implanted false memories in Fichael's head of him being a good father, so that he could brainwash him into overlooking all of the horrible things he's done to him in the past and believe his heroic actions could outweigh the bad. Even after getting busted for this, Renzo still continued to implant memories in Fichael's head.
• War and Peace
  • Renzo planned to gather all of the aliens of Farzar together in one place with a Peace Celebration and trap them with some lean pocket machines and then use a giant mecha robot to blast them all to death and kill them all. He used the DNA of Flobby and Belzert, who he imprisoned and tortured until they gave him the DNA to fuel his device. He also imprisoned Fichael, when he tried to snitch on him and later fought with him in an ultimate death battle.

• Renzo wears women's deodorant.
• Renzo has asthma.
• Renzo is the Farzar counterpart of Woody Johnson from Brickleberry and Randall Crawford from Paradise P.D..
  • He also bears some resemblance to Agent Clappers from the latter series, in that they're both voiced by Lance Reddick and carry a similar energy to their respective personalities.
