Biography[]
Reptile is a warrior fighting for Outworld and it's emperor Shao Kahn. He is a personal spy and bodyguard for Shang Tsung. He was first seen in Shang Tsung's island in his reptilian form posing as a statue in order to fool Shang Taung's enemies. Shang Tsung was worried about the Emperor's adoptive daughter Princess Kitana and instructed Reptile to keep an eye on her and keep her away from Liu Kang and his friends as he feared that an alliance between them would be dangerous for Outworld. When Liu Kang, Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage tried to follow Shang Tsung but got lost trying to get back, Kitana tried to help them, however Reptile appeared and spit acid on Liu Kang's face keeping him away from her.
After Outworld's top warriors such as Scorpion, Sub-Zero and even former Champion Goro lost, Shang Tsung kidnapped Sonya and relied on Reptile as his last resort to kill both Liu Kang and Johnny Cage leaving only Sonya able to fight him in the final battle of the tournament. Liu Kang and Johnny Cage entered Outworld and went for Shang Tsung's tower but soon realized that they were being watched by someone. Liu Kang, having seen Reptile before, exposed him and threw him into a broken statue causing Reptile to somehow take the statue's form and transform into a Ninja warrior. Reptile viciously attacked Liu Kang giving him a tougher challenge than all his previous opponents, having the upper hand for most of the fight. As the fight went on, Reptile started to get weaker and slower giving Liu Kang the chance to knock him down with his signature move, the bicycle kick. Reptile went back to his original reptilian form and Liu Kang finished him off by crushing him with his foot, thus proving that he is ready to fight Shang Tsung.
