Biography[]
Reptile was the leader of the realm of Zaterra. However, after Shao Kahn conquered his realm, Reptile had no choice but to obey him but secretely desired to bring his kingdom to it's former glory and waited for the right opportunity. Reptile's rare ablility of invisibility made him unique among Kahn's minions and was often given dangerous and important jobs. He also was the lover of Kiri, another reptilian warrior.
Reptile made his first appearance when Shao Kahn plotted to create a rift between Kung Lao and Tomas, Earthrealms best fighters and eliminate one or even both of them in the process. Reptile was tasked with killing two women and friends of Siro's by making it seem like it was Tomas who did it. The plan worked as both Siro and Kung Lao suspected Tomas as the murderer. Reptile was also helped by Vorpax. Kung Lao and Tomas ended up fighting each other and Reptile found the opportunity to strike and take them of guard. He spit acid at Kung Lao but Tomas got in the way sacrificing his life to save him, thus proving his innocence. Raiden then explained Reptile's backstory to Kung Lao while Shao Kahn congratulated his enforcer for killing Tomas.
Reptile was seen again when Queen Kreeya aproached him with a proposal of alliance against Shao Kahn, promising to bring his kingdom to it's old glory. Reptile agreed to betray his Emperor but Vorpax and Shang Tsung had other plans. Vorpax killed her mother and succeeded her thus making her deal with Reptile irrelevant. Reptile demanded to continue the alliance between the two forces but Vorpax told him that she chose Shang Tsung instead resulting in a fiece fight between them. The two were evenly matched but in the end Shang managed to blast Reptile away and escape. Reptile recovered and felt depressed about this turn of events but Kiri reminded him that Vorpax was only using Shang Tsung and could still use her help. Meanwhile, Shao Kahn started to suspect him as a traitor and had him watched closely. After discovering that he is indeed the traitor he was looking for, Kahn sent his Shadow Priests to punish him and kill him for his betrayal. Reptile put up an impressive fight but was ultimately overpowered and killed.
While Scorpion was Kung Lao's and Siro's archenemy, Reptile was Taja's archenemy as he killed Tomas, the man she loved, an act she never forgot as shown when she encountered another reptilian warrior.
Powers and Abilities[]
Reptile was a fairly strong and fast fighter, able to go toe to toe with Shang Tsung and wound him as well as hold his own against the Shadow Priests better than some powerful fighters such as Quan Chi or Kitana. His acid is also very dangerous, able to instantly kill a powerful fighter such Tomas.
