“ | Retro Invincible: That was pointless. Kinda like your entire life. Rex Splode: Ouch. Retro Invincible: I'm gonna pop your head off, and then I'm gonna catch the others and skin them alive. If you're worried you're gonna bleed to death before I kill you, you’re dumber than even the Rex from my world. Rex Splode: Sure. But I'm the idiot who took you with me. Retro Invincible: Yeah, how? You're out of shit to explode. Rex Splode: I’ve got one thing left. Retro Invincible: Mm-hm. And what's that? Rex Splode: My entire goddamn skeleton, dickhead. |

Markus Sebastian "Mark" Grayson, also known as Invincible or "Retro Invincible", is a minor antagonist in the Image Comics series Invincible, and a supporting antagonist in Season 3 of its animated adaptation of the same name.
Similar to many other alternate iterations of Invincible, he ultimately became a supervillain who saw other's lives as pointless. At some point, Retro Invincible would become one of the variants of Invincible that Angstrom Levy gathered to initiate the Invincible War in the main dimension. His actions would lead to the death of Rex Sloan, also known as Rex Splode.
He was voiced by Steven Yeun, who also played all the other Alternate Mark Graysons, A. Traveler in The Twilight Zone, Ricky "Jupe" Park in Nope, and Danny Cho in Beef.
Appearance[]
This version of Invincible had a standard yellow, blue, and black suit with some differences, like no kneepads and blue legs. His most notable costume feature was his big, Bulletproof-like goggles.
Biography[]
Background[]
Not much is known about this version of Mark, except that he was born with Viltrumite powers, and was exclusively trained by Nolan, going through hordes of training, and became ready enough to help the Viltrum Empire. He would later take up the name Invincible and become familiar with Rex Splode and Robot, he later killed his universe's Rex.
Invincible War[]
Retro Invincible would later be recruited by Angstrom Levy to go to the main universe and tarnish the name "Invincible" there.
Retro Invincible would then go to the Teen Team base and battle Robot, Monster Girl, Bulletproof, and Rex Splode. He would severely injure Monster Girl and Rex Splode and destroy all of Robot's drones while trying to find Rudy inside one of them. He then discovers Rudy is a normal-looking person, instead of a deformed one, and proceeds to kill him until Bulletproof knocks him away and they start fighting. Rex then tells Bulletproof to take Monster Girl and Rudy far away from the battle as he deals with Retro. Rex then desperately throws whatever he can to explode at him, managing to injure him and leave his left goggle broken. Retro then grabs Rex by the throat and tells him he will kill Rex and then catch down his friends and kill them too. As a last-ditch effort to kill him, Rex slides his hand inside a wound in his own body and detonates his entire skeleton and Retro can only give a shocked look before both die in the massive explosion.
