Biography[]
Past[]
Some years ago, Revchi was a member of the Purple Orca squad of the Magic Knights, being a 1st Class Junior Magic Knight, and became known as "Revchi of Chain Magic". Two years before the story's start, Revchi was set up by Gueldre Poizot to fail a mission, resulting in his facial burns and eventual discharge from the squad. After being threw out of the squad, Revchi became a rogue mage who committed theft.
Arc 1[]
Two years later, Revchi visited Backwater Town to observe the ceremony in which all of the 15 year old mages in the nation would gather, so that those chosen could be awarded magic giving books called Grimoires. Revchi spotted his target as a boy named Yuno from a farming town, whose immense magical skills had awarded him the Four Leaf Clover Grimoire, which enhances its user's abilities by an exceptional degree, and was formerly wielded by the first Wizard King.
Revchi followed Yuno out of the ceremony and waited until he was alone, before violently attacking and capturing Yuno with chains he produced using his own magic, and tying Yuno up with them, before mocking Yuno as having had the potential to become a legend, if not for this encounter. He then took the grimoire for himself, but was unexpectedly met by Yuno's best friend Asta, who completely lacked any magical abilities, and was not awarded a grimoire.
Revchi attacked Asta with chains, before beating, kicking, and mocking the young boy mercilessly. Asta persistently fought back against Revchi, despite being constantly injured and hurt, and eventually Asta was unexpectedly awarded a Grimoire mid-way through their battle, called the Five Leaf Clover Grimoire, which works using so-called "Anti-magic", and can only be used by non-mages of particular valour.
Asta then pulled a giant sword from the grimoire and slashed Revchi across the torso with it, hurling him into the wall. Later, Revchi was arrested and sent to the Magic Knights dungeon for his crimes.
Reincarnation Arc[]
A year afterwards, Revchi escaped from the dungeon after the Elf Tribe lauched their attack against humanity. He had encountered Gueldre, who was already revoked of his Captain title because of his connection with the Eye of the Midnight Sun. The two briefly quarreled against each other, but in progress they quickly realized that they both shared resentment towards Asta, and thus they called in peace.
Later, the duo worked together in attacking the elves and arrived in the Shadow Palace, before they ransacked its treasure. Nevertheless, they were trapped after Zagred summoned horrid creatures from his realm to invade the Clover Kingdom. Whilst Gueldre's Premation Magic saved them both, Revchi complained about following Guldere into such situation.
After Zagred's defeat, Yami discovered both Revchi and Guldere, pulling them out of the collapsing Shadow Palace. Revchi went into a brief quarrel with Asta when the latter recognized him as the thief at the tournament, before he and Charla worked together to escort everyone out of the ruins through an opening Yami cut to the topmost chamber. Revchi later watched as Asta exorcised all remaining elves and sent them to the afterlife.
Arc 10[]
A few days later, Revchi escaped from the dungeon amongst the captives that were helping in rebuilding the ruined capital. He and Guldere saw news about Asta's trial on the headline. They were pleased about it and laughed at Asta's current situation, but was then stopped by Jack the Ripper, who warned all of the prisoners to be quiet and get back to work. Enraged, Revchi, Guldere and Rades Spirito threatened Jack, but he sents Revchi back to the dungeon.
