Biography[]
Born into a life of privilege, young Reza Zaydan joined the Moroccan military and was part of the operation that apprehended "the Mongoose". He rose through the ranks equal parts due to his political savvy and nepotism, reaching the rank of general at the age of 49. Zaydan was adored by the public as a charming bachelor who dated a long line of celebrities.
However, Zaydan was truly an amoral scoundrel who would do anything for power. A member of Providence, he schemed with Swedish banker Claus Strandberg to take over the Moroccan government. Strandberg's arrest for investment fraud threw a wrench into their plans and Zaydan was forced to break him out. Strandberg sought refuge in the Swedish embassy in Marrakesh, to the fury of the Moroccan citizens.
At the time of the mission, Zaydan was planning a strike on the protestors outside the Swedish embassy, under the cover of terrorist group Crystal Dawn.
Personality[]
Reza Zaydan's defining personality trait is his lust for power, as he is willing to do anything to take over Morocco. He is shown to be demanding and hot-tempered to his soldiers. He also has zero tolerance for disobedience and disrespect from any who express either or both, especially behind his back. His ego is also fragile, and he'll lash out against those who question him.
He is also very hedonistic, enjoying beautiful women and expensive possessions. He also seems to enjoy dancing, as he'll join in with his soldiers if they hold a dance party within the school grounds. Despite this sophisticated exterior, he is rather brutal and thuggish, murdering police officers in order to break Claus Strandberg out of prison and taunting his former friend for fun.
Despite his false sense of honor as shown when he was going to kill the poster men he had hired despite them assisting him, he is rather brave, refusing to cower to 47 even when a gun is aimed at his head, choosing to taunt the bald assassin instead.
Trivia[]
- Zaydan's brother is a diplomat, his sister a UN lawyer.
