Rhadallis is a minor antagonist in Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country. He was the corrupt 107th Praetor of Indol.
He was voiced by Yasunori Masutani in Japanese and Peter Marinker in English.
Appearance[]
Rhadallis has an elderly appearance with blue skin, yellow eyes, and white hair. He wears a royal outfit and a crown decorated with a star on top.
Biography[]
Rhadallis served as the 107th Praetor of Indol. After Amalthus climbed the World Tree and awoke the Aegis Malos, Rhadallis saw potential in Malos' power being useful for Indol and appointed Amalthus as the Quaestor of Indol, much to the disapproval of Magister Baltrich. Rhadallis later brought Malos to look upon the Aegis, an artifact claimed to be held down by the Architect himself. Malos promptly destroys it, declaring himself the new Aegis given he was born of divinity and not some reflection.
In 3564, after Malos destroys Coeia, Rhadallis forms a coalition with Mor Ardain to cover up the Titan's destruction. Baltrich asks Rhadallis if Amalthus should be trusted given how Malos is his blade. Rhadallis dismisses him, claiming Malos was only doing the work of the Architect. However, Amalthus later learns from Stannif that the Praetor was planning to use him as a scapegoat should Indol be blamed for the Titans destroyed by Malos.
Following Malus' defeat and the destruction of Torna, Amalthus kills Rhadallis by poisoning his drink, enabling him to usurp the role of Praetor of Indol.
