Rhea Scout is an antagonist from Goblin Slayer.
He was voiced by Mutsuki Iwanaka in the Japanese version, and by Garret Storms in the English dubbed.
Appearance[]
He is a Rhea, a hobbit-like humanoid, with tan skin, brown hair and eyes.
He wears light-colored leather armor, dark grey pants, brown gloves, a green scarf, and brown boots.
Biography[]
He first appears when the eponymous Goblin Slayer was called over to be an observer for the Rhea Scout's promotion exam where he was eager to go from steel rank to ruby or possibly bronze, but Guild Girl pointed out that it doesn’t work like that. Noticing how new his leather armor and boots were. He says he had them matted for himself. When Guild Girl asks how well he seems to be doing for himself, when the same quests were available to everyone else, the Scout claims his family sent him money, only for Guild Girl’s Inspector assistant to expose him as a liar with her Sense Lie spell. What really happened was that he told his companions that he was going to scout and found a treasure chest, kept it for himself so he could sell the contents. Something Guild Girl calls problematic because of guys like him which led to many people being prejudiced against other rheas and scouts. This offense got him demoted to porcelain and barred from adventuring in the town for falsifying a reward. Which prompted him to protest, claiming it was messed up. Guild Girl shoots back at him, saying that whoever betrays another’s trust is undeserving of adventuring. When he begged Goblin Slayer to defend him, the silver-rank shoots him down pointing out that while he (Goblin Slayer) is an adventurer, Rhea Scout tricked other adventurers and that he is just an observer. Overcome with murderous rage, he imagined himself attempting to kill the Guild Girl, only to realize that Goblin Slayer would beat him easily if he tried. Defeated and disgraced, the Scout storms out, declaring that he’ll get revenge one day, which the Guild Girl doubts.
