Biography[]
Rhino and his pal Mugsy were two strong guys looking for work in Gotham City. When a new villain named Arnold Wesker asked for assistance with his plan, Mugsy and Rhino volunteered.
When the two guys met Wesker for the first time, they were surprised to see that Wesker was working with a puppet named Scarface. Rhino actually supported working for the eccentric ventriloquist, but his pal refused to work for a freak. Scarface immediately put Mugsy in his place by almost killing him. Both Mugsy and Rhino then agreed to work for Wesker with no question. In Scarface's first stop, the Aviation Museum, the Batman arrived and began to fight Mugsy and Rhino. The two henchmen overpowered the hero and left him to die on a runaway exhibt. At their next location, Mugsy and Rhino were designated to wait in the getaway car, prepared for their escape. The Batman arrived again, and the henchmen arrived inside the factory to help their boss. This time, they were defeated by The Dark Knight and taken to prison. Scarface and Wesker escaped, however, and continued their plan without their henchmen.
Later, Arnold and Scarface brought them over again to help them rob a children's museum. Both The Batman and the cops were expecting them, however, and their plan failed. Scarface realized there is a rat among them, and concluded it was Wesker, so he decided to kill him using a prop train. Batman broke in and fought Rhino and Mugsy, then showed Scarface the real rat: Mr. Snoots. Batman defeated the two henchmen and rescued Wesker from the train. They were all then arrested by the police.
They were later amoung the many villains Rumor kidnapped.
Trivia[]
- In Batman: The Animated Series, Rhino and Mugsy seemed rather dimwitted and genuinely loyal to Scarface, seeing him as a true leader and blindly following whatever he said. Here it's pretty clear that they’re only in it for the paycheck and are often bewildered by Scarface's instructions, though Rhino is more willing to humor Scarface/Wesker than Mugsy is.
