Rhoda is a minor antagonist in the 1963 James Bond film From Russia With Love. He is a minor member of SPECTRE and assists Morzeny in training the recruits. He was portrayed by Peter Brayham.
Biography[]
Rhoda first appears when Spectre Number Three Rosa Klebb arrives on Spectre Island, a secret island dedicated to the training of recruits. Rhoda and Morzeny act as guides and eventually bring Klebb to Red Grant, their most skilled recruit. After testing Grant's strength, Klebb picks him for a new assignment: kill James Bond and recover the LEKTOR so it can be sold back to the Soviets.
Rhoda later appears when SPECTRE send him to use a truck to block the path of the Orient Express, allowing Grant to remove Bond's dead body so they can hide it. However, Bond has in fact killed Grant, and knocks Rhoda out after disembarking and finding him. After Rhoda comes round, Bond and his girlfriend Tatiana Romanova force him to take them to his boat, which they then steal. After driving out to sea, Bond throws Rhoda into the water and leaves him behind. What happens to Rhoda afterwards is unknown, as he may have managed to swim back to land, or he may have drowned, as he was last seen treading water, however this is unlikely, as he was likely the one who tipped Morzeny off to Bond's location.
