Ricardo "Fat-Face Rick" Hendrix is a minor character in HBO's The Wire. He is a drug lord and one of the members of the New-Day Co-Op.

He is portrayed by Troj Marquis Strickland.

Biography[]

Season 3[]

Fat-Face Rick is one of the first drug lords to join Stringer Bell and Proposition Joe's New Day Co-Op. In response to the turf war between Avon Barksdale and Marlo Stanfield, Rick, along with Prop Joe and Phil Boy, threaten to cut off Stringer's access to The Greek's high-quality heroin if he doesn't find some way to end the war - an ultimatum that forces Stringer to betray Avon.

Season 4[]

Season 5[]

When the Baltimore City Council redevelops the East side, Rick's strip club, Desperado, is relocated. The City Council bought the property for $1,200,000 and sells him city-owned property outside of Baltimore for only $200,000, meaning Rick earns a million dollars from the redeveloping project. The Baltimore Sun publishes a story on this, exposing campaign contributions to City Council President Nerese Campbell as well as others using the Desperado address. When Sun reporter Alma Gutierrez visited Desperado to gather information for the story, Rick mistakenly assumed she was trying to apply for a job there.

In his revenge campaign against Rick's fellow Co-Op member Marlo Stanfield, Omar Little confronts Rick and, with a gun to his head, tells him to pass on his threats to Marlo. Rick asks Omar if he killed Proposition Joe and Hungry Man, which Omar denies.

After Marlo Stanfield's arrest and downfall, Rick and Slim Charles take over his supply connection with The Greek and are last seen making a deal with Spiros Vondas.
