Richard M. "Rich" Buckner is the main antagonist of the Regular Show episode "The Thanksgiving Special." He's obsessed with Thanksgiving and is described as "the richest man in the world."
He is voiced by the series creator J.G Quintel.
Biography[]
In the show's Thanksgiving special, Rich wants to win the prized turducken of the Thanksgiving Song Contest. So Buckner paid a lot of musicians to sing "Chewing on Freedom". Just as he's about to win, Mordecai and Rigby come up with their own song called "What Are You Thankful For?" and they are declared winners.
Rich gets angry and decides to steal the turducken, he begins to escape in his blimp and Mordecai and Rigby go after him, when they arrive with Rich he reveals that he wants the turducken because he has a Golden Wishbone, a wishbone that does grant wishes, Mordecai asks him what he could want since he is a billionaire and it is then that Rich reveals them that what he wants is to have Thanksgiving, Rich reveals that he is angry because his employees never thank him because they are too busy spending time with their families. Mordecai and Rigby refuse to let Rich make that wish and fight with him, Mordecai and Rigby confront Rich while his friends collaborate by making the blimp fall, it begins to lose altitude and heads towards a bridge so the pilots abandon the ship.
Mordecai and Rigby try to take the wishbone and Mordecai tells Rich that he can have whatever he wants but he wouldn't steal Thanksgiving, Rich claims that he has a wishbone that says otherwise and kicks them off the blimp, Rich laughs and wishes to have Thanksgiving and another million untraceable dollars in a Swiss bank but then he discovers that Mordecai and Rigby exchanged the wishbone for Rigby's spoons, Rich screams and he discovers that he is going to crash and screams in terror, the blimp crashes and explodes, killing him.
