Richard Horpe is a character from a Song of Ice and Fire and a minor character in Game of Thrones. A bloodthirsty soldier who enjoys battles and killing, he was rejected for the Kingsguard for his behavior.
After being rejected from the Kingsguard for his vicious attitude, years later in the Battle of Blackwater, Richard Horpe convinced Stannis Baratheon to return to Dragonstone. He later supposedly killed Dormund in the battle beneath the Wall.
Rejoining Stannis court at Castle Black. Denied of any claim in Winterfell, he was sent to the King's Road. He advocates for attacking Dreadfort but is denied. Stannis is victorious at the battle of Deep Wood Motte, and is tasked with getting food. Later, after questioning Justin Massey’s courage, he advocates for burning Theon Greyjoy alive.
