Rick Prime (not to be confused with Rick C-137's archenemy) is a minor antagonist in the adult animated sci-fi series Rick and Morty and a major character in its comic adaptation. He was a member of the Council of Ricks.
Like all of his other versions, he was voiced by the series co-creator Justin Roiland, who voiced Earl of Lemongrab in Adventure Time and Blendin Blandin in Gravity Falls.
Biography[]
Past[]
Alongside other members of the Council, he cooperated with Rick C-137 to rebuild the Citadel after he destroyed it when searching for Rick Prime. However, when C-137 showed no interest in leading, the Council took ruling over the Citadel into their own hands, ruling in a tyrannical way and treating Morties like products, leading rise to Evil Morty.
Present[]
In "Close Rick-counters of the Rick Kind", along with his other council members, Riq IV makes an appearance and accuses Rick C-137 of killing 27 alternate Ricks, including The Scientist Formerly Known as Rick. Rick C-137 was given the unfathomable doom machine by Riq IV, but before he can enter, he takes a portal pistol and escapes from the Citadel.
The Council of Ricks appears to lead the Mortys back to their separate realms after the group of enslaved Mortys beat Evil Rick to death as the true offender. The Council returns C-137 Rick and Morty to the Citadel and formally regrets accusing Rick of the killings. Even better, they give him a certificate for a free Morty in the event that something should ever happen to his, which Rick accepts while Morty is looking away.
In "The Rickshank Rickdemption", the Council of Ricks imprisons Morty and Summer after sending SEAL Team Ricks to kill Rick C-137. A fierce struggle between the two sides ensues after Rick teleports the entire Citadel into the center of the Federation prison. Rick C-137 breaks into the Citadel and kills Rick Prime and the other Council members as revenge.
