Ricky LaRue is the overarching antagonist of the 2010 film Scooby-Doo! Camp Scare.
Biography[]
Ricky LaRue was a notorious gangster living in an old town named Moose Creek, which was flooded years prior to the film's events. After pulling off the biggest bank heist of his career, Ricky LaRue heads off to an uncharted part of the town, where he buries his loot, knowing that the authorities are hot on his tail. After burying his loot, LaRue presumably surrenders and is sent to jail for life until he died. Around the same time, the town was evacuated to create a dam.
However, before his death, LaRue passes on his secret to his old cellmate Babyface Boretti, saying that if the sun hits the town on the Summer Solstice, the location of the treasure will be revealed. Babyface Boretti later broke out from prison two months prior to the film's events. As of the events taking place in the Summer Solstice, Boretti conspires with Forest Ranger Knudsen to scare the local people out from the area using monster disguises so that they can blow up the dam and find LaRue's treasure to claim it for themselves. However, their plan fails thanks to the intervention of Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Gang, who manage to unravel their plans, and as a result, Boretti and Knudsen end up being arrested and sent to jail for their crimes.
Trivia[]
- Ricky is the Greater Scope Villain because his treasure is at the center of the plot. In this manner, he is similar to Captain Flint from Treasure Planet.
