| ~ Ricky to the young girl he recently abducted. |
Ricky Rizolli is a minor antagonist in the DC comics series Vigilante, serving as the main antagonist of issue 39 “Mommy Said Never Talk to Strangers”. He is a human trafficker who goes around abducting young girls off the streets and sells them to white slavers from the Middle East.
Biography[]
He sits in his car, quietly watching children play in the neighborhood streets. When a young girl named Jenny Chiminski tries to take a ball from him, he suddenly grabs her, forces her into his car, and strikes her when she screams, then drives off, abducting her and three other girls.
That night, Jenny’s father, Mitch, and his friend Gary patrol the streets searching for the kidnapper, only to be intercepted by Vigilante. The masked anti-hero orders them to stop their reckless hunt, but they refuse. Enraged, Vigilante attacks and scolds them for using his name to justify breaking the law. When Mitch explains that his daughter has been kidnapped, Vigilante realizes the gravity of the situation.
Meanwhile, Ricky holds Jenny captive and assaults her. Later, three men arrive, questioning him about the girl. When Ricky tells them he “broke her in,” the boss is furious. One of the bodyguards slaps Ricky, calling the girl worthless now. Desperate to prove himself, Ricky begs for another chance. The boss reluctantly agrees, drugs Jenny, and takes her away.
Elsewhere, while on the lookout for the kidnapper, a man accidentally bumps into a child. As he tries to help, a group of men mistake him for Ricky and attack. During the chaos, the real Ricky seizes the opportunity to abduct another girl and flee. Vigilante spots his car and chases after him.
When they stop, the kidnapped girl escapes, and Ricky chases her down with a knife. Vigilante intervenes, fighting Ricky, but the criminal manages to evade him, only to be confronted by Mitch. In the struggle, Ricky slashes Mitch’s throat and flees again. Vigilante catches up, and upon realizing the full extent of Ricky’s crimes, loses control. Ricky tries to escape once more, but is accidentally shot in the head by Vigilante before he can reveal any information. Searching the body, Vigilante retrieves items linking Ricky to a larger trafficking network, then runs off as police close in.
