Rico Delgado is a supporting antagonist in HITMAN 2 (2018), appearing as the main target of the latter's third story mission "Three-Headed Serpent".
Born in Colombia to drug lord Don Delgado, Rico Delgado was set to succeed his father as head of the Delgado Drug Cartel. These plans were placed into jeopardy after the Colombian government cracked down hard on the Cartel, killing Don and forcing Rico, his brother Hector and his mother to flee the country to Santiago.
Over the years, the leadership of the cartel was placed into the hands of Fernando Delgado, Rico's uncle.
Rico returned to Columbia years later to rebuild his father's empire. With the help of the admiring locals, Rico rebuilt the infrastructure and reconnected with the Cartel's old smugglers.
After his uncle Fernando and cousin Manuel Delgado's unfortunate deaths, Rico formed a deal with Lucas Grey. Rico would lend Grey his men and resources in exchange for intel on Fernando's killer, Agent 47, intel he would not get in time before 47 is assigned to assassinate him.
Rico Delgado is a hot-tempered, hedonistic man doggedly pursuing a vendetta against his uncle's assassin and keeping a mini-museum of his exploits. He lacks remorse for his actions, is quick to resort to violence, and is ruthless in dealing with his enemies. He uses his wealth and power to stroke his own ego, such as propping a statue of himself in the village he lives in, while pretending to help support the impoverished community that lives around his extravagant mansion.
However, he is a reasonable boss to his workers. He loves his wife and brother in spite of being annoyed by their irresponsible actions. He also loves his pet hippo dearly, and shows no remorse in feeding humans to it instead of any plants a herbivore like the hippo needs, thus changing the latter's diet. He loved his uncle and cousin dearly, striving to avenge their deaths and still dedicating his life to this.
- Ironically, Rico Delgado is killed by the same person that killed his uncle and cousin and has been trying for years to kill.
