The Riddler is a minor antagonist in the 2018 live-action TV series Titans. He is a supervillain and criminal who is one of the many enemies of Batman.

Appearance

While much of his full appearance isn't shown, he sports question mark drawings on his left arm.

Biography

Season 1

In a fake (but dark reality) created by the demon Trigon, the father of Raven, the Riddler attempted to rob some jewelry stores together with some thugs, but their attempted robbery was thwarted by Batman and Robin/Jason Todd, the Dynamic Duo. During an ensuing fight, Robin became cocky, which the Riddler took advantage of, and he shoots Robin with a gun (which he normally doesn't use). The Riddler's surprise attack left Robin crippled and was confined to a wheelchair, possibly forcing him to retire (Much like Barbara Gordon/Batgirl when she was shot in the back by the Joker in the real world). While the outcome of the battle is unknown, it's possible that the Riddler was defeated and taken to Arkham Asylum.

Robin's paralysis ended up having a negative effect on Batman's already-deteriorating mental health, with the latter having suffered other losses during his years of crimefighting, such as his falling out with Superman, Barbara Gordon's disappearance, and Alfred Pennyworth's passing. But the last straw was when the Joker murdered Batman's close ally Commissioner Jim Gordon, Barbara's father, and his death made Batman snap, turning him into a ruthless and cold-hearted serial killer, with a thirst for vengeance and a lust for blood.

While incarcerated in Arkham Asylum, the Riddler was murdered by Batman alongside Two-Face, the Ventriloquist, the Joker, and several inmates and staff of Arkham.
