Rika Orimoto is the deuteragonist of Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and later a supporting character in the manga/anime series Jujutsu Kaisen. She is the love interest and only close friend of Yuta Okkotsu. After dying in a car accident, she becomes a cursed spirit that harbors an overprotective obsession with Yuta, causing her to murder anyone who harms him. Even though Rika was no longer sealed in his ring, Yuta used a piece of her soul to create another cursed spirit to represent the symbol of the love she has for Yuta.
She is voiced by Kana Hanazawa in Japanese and by Anairis Quiñones in English.
Appearance[]
As a human, she was a smiling short skinny pre-teen girl with brown long hair and brown eyes. A beauty mark is also located near her mouth. Before dying she was most often seen in her blue dress with a red ribbon and wore a pair of purple shoes.
Having met her demise, she becomes a ghastly white cursed spirit. She possesses long arms with long fingers, spotted tentacles-like features on her back, and a mouth with long teeth that are as sharp as needles. Although she has lines in the place of having eyes, a large red eye is only revealed when she awakens her full power.
Personality[]
Being the only friend that Yuta had as a young child, she deeply cared about him and shared romantic feelings for Yuta. The two of them eventually make a promise to get married in the future by offering him a ring, but this takes a horribly wrong turn when she is killed in a car accident. Refusing, to be separated from Yuta, she is turned into an obsessive cursed spirit that is sealed into the ring that she offered him. During his high school year, Rika would murder anyone who dared to harm him with, only caring to surround Yuta with her protection.
Abilities[]
- Immense Cursed Energy: Being referred to as the Queen of Curses, Rika has absolutely a boundless amount of energy that can never be overused. Upon now having complete control of her cursed energy, Yuta can even copy the cursed techniques of other users.
- Cursed Energy Blast: Rika becomes crazy as she hears a promise from Yuta, saying that he intends to always be with her even after her demise. A large eye emerges on her face. Now possessing even more energy, she is capable of firing a blast that is made of "Pure Love", the strongest known curse ever. This attack was even powerful enough to blast through the evil sorcerer, Suguru Geto and his cursed spirit, Tamamo-no-Mae Incarnate.
