Rin is a minor antagonist in Hearthstone. A elderly Gnome, Rin long craved great power and had terrible malice in her heart. This lust for power lead to her being discovered by Azari the Devourer, an extremely powerful Pit Lord, who created the Spellstones to tempt mortals with their awesome abilities. Unlike the other victims of the Spellstones, Rin entered a demonic pact with Azari completely willingly, murdering her entire family in exchange for the tremendous dark power he granted her. As such, she, along with the wielder of the Ruby Spellstone, were the only ones to not become victims of the terrible demon. She would become Azari's first and most loyal follower, working to free her master from his prison. The warlock would then take an interest in music, writing symphonies infused with foul curses and black magics.
Personality[]
Despite her age and diminutive size, Rin is happily and unrepentantly evil. Seeking power and dominion over others her whole life, when Rin was granted an opportunity to acquire both, but at the cost of killing her whole family, the wicked old woman didn't even hesitate. Now infused with tremendous dark magics, Rin has made it her goal in life to grow ever more powerful all the while faithfully serving the will of her master Azari.
Some time after the events of Kobolds and Catacombs, Rin would take up a great interest in music. However, ever the twisted and demonic crazed woman, her music is cursed and brings about darkness and destruction. Her magnum opus is the Symphony of Sin.
Trivia[]
- Because of her inherently evil nature, Rin is the only wielder of a Spellstone who didn't see the terrible price that came with it as a negative at all. While almost all the others fell victim to catastrophic wickedness and terrible fates, Rin's price for power being the death of her family was utterly trivial to her.
