Rippy also known as Skip is the titular main antagonist of the 2024 Australian Outback horror film The Red, he is an undead 7 foot tall red alpha male kangaroo who leaves carnage in a small town in the outback of Australia. He is a blood-thirsty man eater who attacks anyone and anything who enters his territory leaving behind the mutilated corpses of his victims. He is also the arch-nemesis of Maddy.

Backstory[]
Before becoming an undead man-eater Rippy was an already violent kangaroo, which fighting another alpha male resulting in Rippy being scarred. Eventually due to hazardous chemicals being dumped in a river Rippy got infected and died eventually, but he was brought back were he shown his blood-thirsty behavior by killing a rabbit, eventually going to the campground were he murdered a man mutilating his presumably first human victim.
The Red[]
Rippy is first seen when hunter Schmitty goes into the woods unknowingly stumbling into the territory of Rippy were the tent of one of rippy’s previous victims are the undead roo attempts to kill Schmitty only for the hunter to shoot at him causing Rippy to flee. He is later seen at night stalking two drunk local workers Parker and Ricky with Rippy attacking both men and mutilating their corpses. The next day police officer Maddy finds both men alongside their boss.
During that night local teenage runner Troy Kitchner goes for a sunset run, but unfortunately for the young boy he enter Rippy’s territory we’re the zombie roo chases Troy eventually catching and mutilating and decapitating him. Eventually his mother and father call Maddy finding his mutilated and decapitated head. Rippy is seen when the hunting party consisting of Dave, an Macca, Robbo and Ginny, find the half eaten rotten corpse of a cow that was already shot. Rippy stalks Macca by slicing open his chest with Dave calling out for his fellow hunter Robbo and Ginny. They find the undead roo eating Macca’s chest with Robbo shooting at the roo causing Rippy to kick him into a tree branch, breaking his spine. Seeing her friend die Ginny flees from the woods into the field were Dave is only for Rippy to jump on her killing her then eating her flesh. Dave fleeing leaving the scene seeing this Rippy chases Dave eventually causes Dave to crash. He bites Dave neck leaving him to bleed out.
After mourning the death of Dave and learning the truth about her father’s death Maddy, Donna and Schmitty are attacked when Rippy attacks Maddy’s police car only leaving when Maddy shoots him. After leaving, Maddy turns around in an attempt to run Rippy over only for the kangaroo to move out the way causing Maddy to crash her car with the car crashed Maddy, a Donna and Schmitty go to Schmitty’s place were they make a plan to warn the town. Unbeknownst to them Rippy follows them attack Scmitty’s van almost attacking Maddy now driving back to town Rippy follows them determined to kill Maddy, Donna and Schmitty with him hopping around the land of the outback eventually making it to the town Maddy’s fellow officer Stan arrives with Maddy and Donna attempting to warn him to get back in his car when Stan turns Rippy bites into his neck tearing his back apart and gutting his stomach. Turning his attention to the survivors Rippy tries to break into the Fir and Axe pub eventually breaking the door of its hinges entering the bar,searching for the survivors with Schmitty causing a distraction. Unknowingly, Schmitty dog Ralph barks. causing Rippy’s attention to be drawn to the door leading to the cellar finally encouraged. Maddy confronts the undead man-eater shooting at him with, one shoot hitting his left cheek causing his left eye to hang out from the socket. Distracted by Maddy’s pragmatic aunt ringing a bell, Schmitty tosses Maddy and axe seeing this Rippy leaps forward only for Maddy to bring down the axe with three strikes. killing the roo avenging Rippy’s victims from Troy to Stan. The town is at peace since Rippy's violent, murderous and bloody rampage has finally ended for good. Unknowingly at the end Ben goes to the funeral home were a infected now undead Parker and Ricky attack him, implying Rippy’s bites are infectious.
