Risnorth is an overarching antagonist of the manga series Hunter × Hunter. He is a sadistic human trafficker, disguised as a philanthropist, who kidnaps and kills children whilst snuff filming.
He is responsible for the foundation of the Phantom Troupe due to his involvement in the death of their childhood friend, Sarasa.
Personality[]
Risnorth is an extremely sadistic man who took pleasure in killing and creating snuff films using children. He was apparently able to hide both his nature and the source of his fortune even when his philanthropic efforts placed him in the public's eye.
Background[]
Risnorth was once a human trafficker who targeted Meteor City inhabitants. Due to increasing vigilance in the area, he and some accomplices decide to have one last round of "fun" if they encountered another child after having met their quota of children to abduct for that particular round of delivery. The group came upon Sarasa in the Uga Forest dump, murdered her while filming the ordeal, stuffed her body parts into a bag, and affixed two messages, one to her forehead and the other to the trunk from which they then hung the bag.
Risnorth would then become an entrepreneur and the Mom's Help Foundation's chairman, dedicated to rescuing unfortunate children but it is just another front for his human trafficking operation. He eventually met his end when the Phantom Troupe tracked him down and brutally murdered him to avenge the death of Sarasa.
