Ritsuko Uragi is the main antagonist of the I SPY manga one-shot by Tatsuya Endo. She's a traitorous member of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Asian Bureau who's responsible for leaking top secret information to other countries in exchange for money. She's the primary target of the spy known as A4.
Appearance[]
Ritsuko is jovial woman with light colored chest-lenght hair who's described as being quite beautiful. She appears to wear a black suit and a skirt.
Biography[]
Ritsuko was part of the Minister of Foreign Affairs who would sell information to other countries in a huge conspiracy that would inadvertedly be noticed by the japanese government. In order to put an end to her scheme, the government-assigned spy known as A4 would be put in charge of catching Uragi and bringing her to justice.
While A4 at first tries to follow her in the street while disguised as an old man, his plan is thwarted by the schoolgirl Mamiru Kai who recognizes his smell and starts running after the spy in order to confess her feelings for him. After she ends up giving up on her romantic advances and, heartbroken, decides to follow her friends Non-chan and Shi-chan to eat some pancakes for consolation. The girls are soon interrupted by Uragi and her two thugs who kidnap the three students in order to interrogate them.
At a construction site where Uragi took the three girls hostage, she starts asking questions thinking that they are spies from another country due to Mamiru's chase while also revealing the identity of A4 as a spy to them. Uragi then offers a deal with the three girls to help them catch the spy. After Mamiru rejects her offer, Uragi orders her men to assassinate them both. Before they can do anything, A4 shows up and knocks both of them out and frees Mamiru and her friends while apologizing to her for have mistaken her for one of Uragi's thugs.
Ritsuko then confronts the spy, taunting him for having mellowed out towards Mamiru. She then pulls out a bomb from her cleaveage and attempts to act as a suicide bomber. Before she can do anything, A4 shoots the bomb out of her hand, which causes an explosion that ends up destroying the building. After the building comes down, and A4 is saved by Mamiru in the process, the spy laments that he had a lot of questions to ask Uragi. Mamiru, however reveals that she had saved her as well and tied her up. Surprised at her skill, A4 asks her to join his organization once she graduates school. Uragi is never seen after that, implied to have been arrested.
