Robert "Robbie" Laidlaw is a bounty target and minor antagonist featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.
At some point, Laidlaw was wanted by the Scarlett Meadows Police Department due to thievery, fraud, and assaulting a deputy.
Early life[]
Laidlaw was born in Scotland but later moved to the United States of America, where his entire family was murdered.
Events of Red Dead Redemption 2[]
After the player captures Mark Johnson and completes Chapter 3, Arthur Morgan/John Marston can investigate a cabin due south of Braithwaite Manor called Old Harry Fen.
Inside, they will find an old and derelict prisoner cell that is used to hold slaves. A family photo dating back to 1859 can be discovered on the floor. The player must acquire this picture to begin Laidlaw's bounty mission.
Once the player returns a few in-game days later, they will be tackled by an associate of Laidlaw. However, Arthur/John quickly manages to beat them, then chases after Laidlaw.
Laidlaw tries hiding in a nearby field, but the protagonist spots him. He lights the field on fire to escape, but fails and is apprehended.
On the ride back to Rhodes, Laidlaw attempts to bribe the protagonist with "exotic photos" of "wee fairies" but they simply react in disgust. Laidlaw is then turned in for a $35 reward.
Trivia[]
- Emmet Granger is mentioned to be a suspect in the Laidlaw family disappearance.
