Robert is a minor villain in Saw 2: Flesh & Blood
Biography[]
Robert was a drug addict and the best customer of Chuck, until Chuck framed him as an accomplice to his drug dealings in order to receive a lighter prison sentence. Robert was arrested by David Tapp, and despite Robert's actual innocence, he was ultimately convicted. In prison, Robert's addiction greatly worsened, which continued after he was freed. Eventually, he was targeted by John Kramer, the Jigsaw Killer, who brought him to an abandoned building as a test to help Robert finally move past his addiction. While Robert was unconscious, a chain was tied around his neck to a column, and several razor blades were inserted into his arms. When Robert woke up, a tape confronted him about his addiction and instructed him that to free himself from his addiction, and his chain, Robert would have to move forward and take someone with him back to the column. However, once someone entered the room and this happened, they would both have to work quickly and carefully, as a timer would start, and after it finished, the room would explode. Furthermore, in order to escape the room, they would have to activate sprinklers to put out the fires blocking the exit to the room. Robert was also told to be very careful to not kill the person due to his razors.
Sometime afterward, Michael Tapp, David's son, entered the room. Recognizing Michael as the son of his arresting officer, Robert decided to ignore his instructions, intentionally murder Michael with his razors, and take his corpse back to the column to free himself. While doing this, he repeatedly yelled at and threatened Michael. With careful timing, Michael was able to avoid Robert, put out the fires, and escape the room, leaving Robert to be killed by the explosion.
Personality[]
Robert was initially a trusting man. After being framed by his dealer, however, and sent to prison for a crime he did not commit, Robert changed for the worse. He became very vengeful and angry, trying to kill Michael simply due to him being the son of the officer who put him away, not caring that Tapp did not know Robert was innocent and Michael himself had nothing to do with it. He was so blinded by rage that he tried to kill Michael even though Michael could have freed him.
