And these are the Ridiculous Robo-Boogers. Three of the vilest, most disgusting, and most terrifying creatures ever to dripacross the face of the Earth. Even their names were horrible, monstrous monikers, the sound of which would drive madness into the hearts of the bravest of heroes. If you dare to know their nightmarishly deplorable names, I will tell you. But don’t blame me if you have to sleep with a night-light on for the rest of your life. Their names were Carl, Trixie, and Frankenbooger. See? I told you they were scary names!
~ The description about the Robo-Boggers

Carl, Trixie and Frankenbooger, better known as The Three Robo-Boogers are supporting antagonists in the Captain Underpants franchise. They are the remnants of the Bionic Booger Boy, a fusion of Melvin Sneedly, a robot made in his likeness, and his own mucus.

Appearances[]

Originally, the three were a single robot, it was Melvin's most powerful. It had three sets of interchangeable laser eyeballs, Macro-Hydraulic Jump-A-Tronic legs, Super-Somgobulating Automo-Arms, and an extendable Octo-Claw rib cage, and was powered by three separate Twin Turbo-9000 SP5 Kung-Fu Titanium/Lithium Alloy Processors, which were all built into a virtually indestructible Fleco-Growmonic endoskeleton that had the power to punch through cinder blocks, crush steel in its vise-like grasp, and plow mercilessly through poorly written run-on sentences. It could also slice bagels.

Once the robot and boogers were separated from Melvin, it created three separate entities.

  • Carl is a hairy blob of snot with the two Jump-A-Tronic legs. He also has two bucked teeth, unlike the other two who have sharp teeth.
  • Trixie is a smaller blob than Carl, and has the Octo-Claw rib cage. She lacks legs, and has stalks holding her eyes, the laser eyeballs, up.
  • Frankenbooger is the largest of the trio. He is a slimy blob with no legs, and the two Automo-Arms. He also had the big lips that the original robot had.

Personalities[]

Nothing is known about their separate personalities, though they eat or destroy anything in their path. The Robo-Boogers also seem to care about one another, as Trixie and Frankenbooger sought vengeance upon Carl's death. They also seem to learn from their mistakes as Trixie and Frankenbooger avoided the same tactic the heroes "used" to defeat Carl.

Biography[]

Creation[]

Bionic Booger Boy

Combined with Melvin Sneadly as the Bionic Booger Boy

The Robo-Boogers are briefly seen at the end of Captain Underpants and the Big, Bad Battle of the Bionic Booger Boy Part 1: The Night of the Nasty Nostril Nuggets. They are created by the remains of the Bionic Booger Boy, after Melvin Sneedly is separated from the boogers and robotic body. They slid off of some walls and smashed the Combine-O-Tron. They then chase away the protagonists as the story ends.

Reign of Terror[]

The Robo-Boogers were beaten up and shot into space by Sulu the Bionic Hamster, who heard the screams of terror caused by the protagonists. The three are launched into space, but they later stowaway on a spaceship to get back to Earth, and attack the space station in the process. Later, George, Harold and Captain Underpants (who has lost his powers), have been pursued by the Robo-Boogers.

Demise[]

George, Harold and Captain Underpants learn that the Robo-Boogers' weakness is vitamin C when Carl falls apart after eating an orange. George suspected that it combatted the cold and flu that made the Robo-Boogers evil. Before Trixie and Frankenbooger could eat George and Harold, Captain Underpants annoys them by dancing atop a toilet, and the remaining Robo-Boogers go after him. Then the toilet seat, which has oranges under it, leading to juice splashing on them, killing the Robo-Boogers for good. This was a squishy, a prank George and Harold made in the beginning of the first part of the two-part book.

Alternate Universe[]

In an alternate universe where good and evil are swapped (home of Captain Blunderpants), all three of the Robo-Boogers are nice and have jobs. Carl is a mail carrier while Trixie and Frankenbooger are construction workers.

Trivia[]

  • During their creation, the Robo-Boogers had alternate names.
    • Carl was originally going to be named Steve.
    • Trixie original potential names were BongBong and Trix.
  • Carl was not originally hairy. During his creation, Dav Pilkey accidentally covered him in eraser shavings, which made Carl look like he had disgusting hairs, so Pikey decided to add that to his final design.
  • The appearance of robotic boogers is actually a coincidence as before facing them, George and Harold already faced off against robots and the school got flooded with sticky green goop (except it was cake batter with food coloring and not mucus).
  • In the alternate universe, Melvin Sneedly is dumb and does not invent, so it is unknown how the Robo-Boogers came into existence there.
  • In Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, images of Trixie appear as targets for a water gun game.
