Robo-Foxes are minor antagonists of the "Follow the White Rabbid" short from the official animated anthology based on the Raving Rabbids video game franchise, Rabbids Short Stories. They are a group of robotic foxes with shotguns that enjoy picking on the 8-bit Rabbid.

Appearance[]

The Robo-Foxes are pixelated, robotic foxes with light-brown rectangular bodies with a red square in the middle of their chests, orange legs with dark-brown feet, yellowish-orange heads with grey snouts and dark-orange noses, slightly-darker orange tails with black ends, dark red eyes with yellow pupils and bright-red unibrows, grey mechanical arms with dark orange hands, and wield massive shotguns.

Biography[]

A Rabbid in a pixelated 2D platformer game happily wanders through a forest and jumps above a pit of water to eat a banana. He then jumps over a pit of lava to eat a slice of pizza. The Rabbid then walks up a slope and jumps over another lava pit to eat a slice of watermelon, before walking down another slope and jumping onto a lily pad over a pit of water to eat a peach, and then jumping back onto land while collecting a plunger. The Rabbid then stops underneath a living poop emoji as a pair of Robo-Foxes surround him. The Robo-Fox on the right points at the poop emoji, indicating that they want to see him eat it. The Rabbid shakes his head in an attempt to decline their disgusting demand, to which the Robo-Fox on the right continues to point at the poop emoji. The Rabbid crosses his arms in frustration, only for the two Robo-Foxes to shoot at him as he rapidly jumps away to survive. The Rabbid, now fearing for his life, jumps up to eat the poop emoji just so the mechanical menaces will stop harrassing him, only for more Robo-Foxes to show up from both sides just to mock him as he begins to puke, triggering a game over. The world is then revealed to be a game being played by a Rabbid from a Sims-like game in an office building, who smashes his computer in annoyance, only catch fire and spread it to all the other Rabbids in the building before crashing through the window and making a bloody splat on the pavement. The game is then revealed to have been played by a Rabbid in a helicopter-flying game. The Rabbid's window gets shot at by the enemies, causing him to lose control of his helicopter and crash. It's then revealed to be game played by one of two grotesque Rabbids, whose friend laughs at him for failing the mission. In response, his friend pulls out a portal gun and teleports a safe onto him. The camera is then revealed to be the POV shot of another Rabbid, who shoots at the other Rabbid with their own portal gun, only to be caught off guard as the opposing Rabbid shoots two portals at the ceiling and floor the POV Rabbid is on, causing them to fall indefinitely. It's then revealed the last world was a VR game being played by the 8-bit Rabbid from the start, who throws up and tosses the VR headset behind himself and into the water, before walking to the right to replay the level, where he will no doubt encounter the Robo-Foxes again and repeat the cycle.

Personality[]

While not much is known about the Robo-Foxes, what can be gathered is they're all really sadistic bullies who enjoy tormenting the 8-bit Rabbid by forcing him to eat a living poop emoji, much to the Rabbid's disgust.

Trivia[]

  • Ironically, despite the first segment of the short being based on classic 2D platformers on 8-bit systems like the NES, the Robo-Foxes' designs far exceed the max amount of colors that could be used on a single NES sprite, as the NES could only render 3 colors per-sprite plus transparancy, wheras the Robo-Foxes have a total of 16 different colors on their sprites. In addition, most of the Robo-Foxes' colors would not have been available on the NES' color palette.
  • Out of every villain from both the Rayman and Rabbids series, the Robo-Foxes have by far the lowest amount of screen-time, only appearing onscreen for a total of 14 seconds.
  • The Robo-Foxes are, along with Rabbinator, the only Rayman/Rabbids villains to wield shot guns.
  • Notably, the Robo-Foxes are among some of the only villainous animal characters in the Rayman/Rabbids series with humanoid proportions that aren't Rabbids, the others being Moskito, Mr. Skops, El Stomacho, Toads, and Armored Toad.
    • The Robo-Foxes are also among the only villains specific to the Rabbids series that aren't Rabbids, humans, or any other real-world creature/object on Earth, the others being the Future Drone, Bgulds and Azimoo.
  • The Robo-Foxes are somewhat comparable to the creatures from the GBA version of Rayman Raving Rabbids and the cancelled Rayman 4, who abused the Rabbids until their descent into villainy
