The Robocupid is the Cupid and Camera-themed monster of the Machine Empire serving Klank and Orbus and a supporting antagonist in Power Rangers Zeo. She serves as the main antagonist of the first two parts of the three-part episode "There's No Business Like Snow Business", and a minor antagonist in the episode "It Came From Angel Grove."
She is voiced by Alex Borstein who previously voiced Madame Woe, Bloom of Doom, Lipsyncher and Flame Head in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and also voices Queen Machina also in Zeo. Outside of Power Rangers, she is best known as Cataclaws in Big Bad Beetleborgs and Lois Griffin in Family Guy. For a single line from In Space, she is voiced by Brianne Siddall who previously voiced Nimrod the Scarlet Sentinel, Vase Face and the Sinister Simian in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and later voiced the Mechaterpillar also in Zeo, Big Burpa and Metal Mangler in Power Rangers Turbo, and later voiced Ruptor and Maronda in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy and Impus in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue.
Personality[]
The Robocupid is an obsessive monster willing to brainwash everyone on Earth for her masters but is also extremely vain; spying herself in a mirror and calling herself gorgeous. Due to possessing a thick Texan accent, she uses plentiful amount of South American slang (eg “fer” and “mah.”) After accidentally brainwashing herself, she temporarily became completely devoted and attacked Klank just to hug him.
Biography[]
Past[]
The Robocupid was manufactured by the Machine Empire, working under King Mondo and Queen Machina. With their monsters and never-ending army of Cogs, the Machine Empire was able to devastate and conquer entire galaxies.
Zeo[]
In 1996, King Mondo leads his Machine Empire to the Moon where they drive out Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa but their invasion is ultimately stalled by the interference of the Zeo Rangers.
After Tommy receives a Dear John letter from Kimberly which makes him depressed, Machina scoffs at his emotional weakness and Mondo wishes they could exploit the emotion of love so Klank mentions the Robocupid. As such, he is sent down to Angel Grove with the Robocupid to make humans fall in love with random machinery whilst the Zeo Rangers are busy snowboarding on the Widowmaker mountain. Although they begin at the Angel Grove Docks, the Robocupid manages to blast herself with a love ray and fall in love with Klank who she manages to restrain until Orbus blasts her away and breaks her from her own spell. Afterwards, she manages to brainwash everyone in the Youth Center as well as Bulk and Skull.
Later, the Robocupid attacks a factory since, with most of the Rangers busy saving Heather Thompson from falling off a cliff thanks to the Cogs’ interference, only three of the Rangers able to confront her. With Mondo planning to use this to divide and conquer, he sends down some Cogs to help and a fight erupts. Despite Adam using the Zeo IV Power Punch and his Zeo IV Power Hatchet finisher, the Robocupid retains the upper-hand until the other Rangers arrive after saving Heather by abseiling. Although they defeat the Robocupid with the Defender Wheel, Klank and Orbus enlarge her so they form the Zeo Megazord but are overwhelmed by her firepower. Quickly though, they equip the Zeo IV Battle Helmet which they use to ram and blast her back before destroying her with the energised Zeo Megazord Saber.
Later, after Prince Sprocket complains about Punch-A-Bunch damaging himself during battle against the Zeo Rangers, the Robocupid is indirectly referenced along with all previous monsters used up to that point when Machina reassures her distraught son that the Rangers have ruined all of their monsters.
A dream version of the Robocupid is seen after Zordonicus reveals himself to be King Mondo and torments Adam with a group of Cogs and past monsters. However, this version of the Robocupid almost immediately ceases to exist when Adam abruptly wakes up from his dream.
When Adam finds a cog medallion whilst training for a karate tournament, Klank bemoans how this could lead to the failure of the plan with Admiral Abominator but Orbus mentions it not being the first time; indirectly referencing the Robocupid.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Strength: The Robocupid was able to grab and restrain Klank, knock back the Robocupid by striking her with a pole and, when giant, knock back the Zeo Megazord with two punches.
- Durability: The Robocupid was undamaged by Klank hitting her with a pole, being shot by Orbus hard enough to break her free from her own love spell, being punched twice by Adam, being struck by the Zeo IV Power Punch, the Zeo IV Power Hatchet finisher and Tommy's Zeo Power Kick. When giant, the Robocupid was jump kicked by Tommy, slammed and blasted by the Zeo IV Battle Helmet but all only momentarily stunned her.
- Stability: The Robocupid stayed upright despite being rammed by the Taurus Head.
- Depth Perception: The Robocupid has depth perception despite only having one eye.
- Speech: The Robocupid can speak despite lacking a mouth.
- Love Spells: The Robocupid can fire blue energy beams from her single eye which immediately makes the victims fall in love with the first machine they see. She can also do this by spraying pink hearts instead although this is only in American footage.
- Energy Blasts: When giant, the Robocupid’s love beams instead deal severe damage; being able to knock back the Zeo Megazord.
- Super Speed: As seen when she fell in love with Klank, the Robocupid can run around at incredible and inhuman speeds.
- Spike Blasts: The Robocupid can fire red-pink bullet-like projectiles from the blaster on his right arm that were strong enough to stun the Zeo Megazord.

- Mirrors: When the Robocupid fires her beams into mirrors, they are reflected back at her.
- Love Blasts: The Robocupid is susceptible to her own love powers, causing her to immediately fall in love with Klank.

- Fists: The Robocupid possesses no weapons of her own but mainly uses her bare hands in combat.
- Claws: The Robocupid's hands are tipped with razor sharp claws that she can use to grab and restrain others.
- Laser Barrage: The Robocupid can rapid fire blue lasers from her clawed fingers which are strong enough to cause large explosions and knock down Adam.
