~ Orange describing Robot 5000's destructive rampage

Robot 5000, better known as simply Robot, is the titular main antagonist of the Annoying Orange music video, "Robot Power". He is a robot that Orange built from various technologies owned by Pear in order to do his chores for him, before going haywire and destroying everything.

He was voiced by Dane Boedigheimer, who also voiced Orange himself.

Appearance[]

Robot 5000 is a humanoid machine made up of various different technologies for his body parts, with an iPhone for his head, a stereo for his body (with a green CD visible in his chest cavity), black pop tubes for arms with generic round grippers at each end for his hands, and carrier bearings for his feet.

In his normal mode, Robot displays a happy pixelated expression on a green background on the iPhone screen. Upon entering Destruction Mode, Robot changes his expression to an angry frown on a red background.

Personality[]

Initially, Robot 5000 was a well-meaning, if mischievous machine that simply intended to help Orange with his chores and pranks, and would calmly tuck him into bed and protect him. However, upon accidentally entering Destruction Mode by spilling water on his circuitry, Robot suddenly transformed into a wrathful, bloodthirsty shell of his former self that blasted at everything in his sight, and now actively terrified Orange by blasting lasers at him while he was in bed, subverting his former care for his master.

Biography[]

While Orange is working on building something, Pear comes in to chastise him for not doing his chores. When Orange is finished, he reveals he has spent all the time he could've done on chores to instead create a robot from Pear's stuff to do his chores for him. Orange then turns on the robot, dubbing him the Robot 5000, before ordering him to do his bidding.

Orange begins singing about how Robot should do the various chores, such as cleaning the dishes, sweeping the floor, and waking up Grandpa Lemon, all of which Robot is seen performing onscreen. Orange then orders Robot to "give everyone complimentary bees" to chase Little Apple, organize his DVD collection of Adam Sandler movies, and stockpile his TNT to detonate and wreck the kitchen. Orange then sings about how Robot protects him from all potential threats and tucks him into bed before turning the light out when he goes to sleep.

Unfortunately, Robot suddenly spills water all over his circuitry, causing him to glitch out and activate Destruction Mode. Robot then proceeds to sing about how he will destroy everything in his path as he wrecks the kitchen, before ordering everyone to bow before him as their new master. Orange then describes how Robot destroys everything in his line of sight, from the various innocent fruit in the kitchen, to the fridge, to the stove, to Spencer Grove and his can of Sprite, how he will show up when in the mood to fight as he attacks Grapefruit unprovoked, and how Robot blows up everything until the morning begins.

Orange then sings the original verse about how Robot keeps him safe, although the visuals prove otherwise, as Robot is shown destroying everything in front of him to Orange's horror, frightens him by firing lasers at him when he's about to go to bed, destroys Orange's DVD collection right in front of him, and angrily crashes through Orange's room to leave while he's still screaming. Immediately afterwards, Robot suddenly explodes, leaving the kitchen a complete mess as Pear tells Orange he's never letting him use his stuff again, which Orange completely understands and doesn't complain.
