The Robot Chief is a minor antagonist in Ultraseven, serving as the main antagonist of the episode, "Nightmare on Planet No. 4". He is the dictator of Planet No. 4 and has conquered humanity there, oppressing them to slavery.
He was portrayed by Masahiko Naruse.
The Robot Chief is rather portrayed as sadistic, power-hungry, and highly controlling over the humans he enslaved in the Fourth Planet, constantly believing he and his kind were far superior than them ever since they were assisting them for far to long in doing so.
He is also rather abusive to his human secretary, beating her for getting his coffee wrong when he tasted it, showing his petty side, which explains a lot about the laws he created (in which for example, if a truck hits another vehicle, the victim is to blame instead).
2000 years prior to the present, the Fourth Planet's people invented and crafted robots to serve them, thus alongside other technological advances they are were proud of. However, the robots had enough and one day oppressed and enslaved the humans for their laziness and letting them do too much work, as the Robot Chief led his kind and took over the planet, forcing humans to be suppressed and work for them, even enforcing rather unlawful laws to the point.
In the present, the Chief hacked into the rocket systems of Scorpion, to which Dan and Soga were on, into landing to their planet. As soon as his commissioner to bring them to him and upon explaining this planet's history, as soon as he sips a cup of coffee from his human secretary Allie, he abusively beats her for getting the mixture wrong, even though it looked perfect. He would then showcase Dan and Soga all of their technology across the building and their execution methods to human "criminals", whilst also explaining of his plans to invade Earth, even to have them around their film studio, to which reveals from earlier, the human actors they had died from actual live rounds of actual violence from the robot actors, using this method as a way to make their films more realistic.
As Dan and Soga made their attempts to escape with the effort of Allie and her younger brother, she alongside a man who helped her for them ended up getting taken away by the Chief and Commissioner, as soon as the preparations were done, they were saved by Dan and Soga before he had his men and commissioner shoot them down before revealing to them of their military forces' take off to Earth, as Dan transforms into Ultraseven, destroying the building headquarters both the Chief and his right hand were in, killing them deservingly, so alongside his military forces, all of them to end his reign for good and with the Fourth Planet now liberated.
