Rodkyboy Mondragon (also known as Rockyboy or Midnight Monster and later Mystery Man) is a supporting antagonist in the Filipino prime time series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, serving as a major antagonist in the third arc of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.

He is a short-tempered son of Brando Mondragon, a corrupt contractor and Divina Mondragon, an opportunistic businesswoman who manipulated Tanggol for her own schemes. His family are associates of Roberto Guerrero involved in government corruption in the Philippines. Despite their close associations with the Guerreros, he has intense rivalry with Miguelito Guerrero.

He is played by Baron Geisler who also played Dante Madarang in FPJ's Ang Probinsyano and Harry Aguerro in Senior High.

Background[]

Born to Mondragon clan, at some point he was abandoned by his mother Divina, abandoned him and was raised most of his life by Brando. He also had an intense past rivalry with Miguelito Guerrero throughout his life despite of their families' close associations.

One night, they attended Miguelito’s victory party as a newly elected Mayor of Manila with his father Brando. He arrogantly confronted Miguelito escalating tension causing them to have violent brawl until they were both ceased by their families. Moments later, they reluctantly settled each other and as Miguelito discusses their plans and was seen threatened after the latter demanded a high demand for his share in their schemes.

Divina returns with Brando and him to seek protection from Tanggol, however he expressed his resence for leaving him throughout the years. That night he contacted Dimples to be his partner. Mesmerized to Dimples’ looks, he forced himself to her by sadistically beating her until she lose consciousness and molested her. Moments later, he had his henchmen dispose Dimples in a secluded riverside.

Few days later, he deactivated his Facegram account named as Midnight Monster and renamed it as Mystery Man after sexually-violating another young woman. He was captivated by Ponggay’s attractiveness during a live-selling session in Facegram. Unknown to him, Ponggay was personally investigating him behind his actions for sexually abusing young women including her sister Dimples. He invited Ponggay for their meetup in Mondragon Hotel and had her dressed in revealing angel costume. He sexually forced himself to Ponggay but the latter attempted to fight him back until he managed to incapacitate her and attempted to rape her. As Ponggay screams for help, Tanggol who is coincidentally infiltrating Mondragon Hotel as he was looking to hunt down Divina for her betrayal and treason on Tanggol and the Montenegros, would eventually came to save Ponggay by extremely, violently beating Rockyboy down. Seriously, violently beaten and covered with blood made by Tanggol, he threatens Tanggol that he will be after him until Tanggol knocks him down with his gun.

Moments later, Rockyboy then regains consciousness, with him coughing in blood, groaning and crying in agonizing pain as the pursuing Divina, Brando, Emil, and their goons (that were pursuing Tanggol within the Mondragon Hotel bulding, whom the latter would escape soon after with Ponggay after they've gunned down the remaining Mondragon goons) would later encounter and would found a weaken, beaten, bloodied, bruised and humiliated Rockyboy on the floor in the Mondragon Hotelroom, of which he was seen being aided in getting up by Brando and Rockyboy's bodyguard, as a bloodied-soaked Rockyboy was throwing a fit of rage and anger, and with Brando and Divina asking on Rockyboy whether Tanggol was responsible on attacking him, vowing Rockyboy to himself that he will go back and take his revenge against Tanggol, but not before blaming Divina for letting Tanggol to be her enemy target and the misfortune that Rockyboy had encountered and endured with.

Later on at the Mondragon residence, he forgives his mother Divina and planned to work together for their vengeance against Tanggol, much to the delight of Rockyboy's father, Brando. He and the Mondragons once again faced the Guerreros for their financial dealings at the Guerrero mansion. Upon learning of Miguelito of the common enemy that they've facing in a form of Tanggol, their tensions once again escalated as both Miguelito and Rockyboy were competing who will hunt down Tanggol first until Roberto intervenes and asked them to work together peacefully and coordinatingly in hunting down Tanggol. Later on, while visiting the hallway of the Guerrero mansion, Rockyboy was seen visiting the dining room as he went near and talk to Erika, whom the latter was eating alone in the large dinning table of the dinning room, of which Rockyboy personally invited Erika to join the meeting between the Mondragons and the Guerreros, which Erika politely declined and turned down Rockyboy's invitation as he was seen going near to Erika and wooing on her, much to the bewilderment and confusion of Erika, of which she strongly refused to talk to Rockyboy and with Erika demanded him to leave her alone in peace, but not before Rockyboy sexually and lustfully touching Erika's shoulders before tightly grabbing and attempted to molest and seduce Erika, much to Erika's screams, which alerted Santino to her scream and came to Erika's defense, with an angered Santino accusing Rockyboy of lustfully seducing and molesting Erika, but not before a bewildered Rockyboy asked of who Santino is and with Erika telling that Santino was her boyfriend, much to the shock and mockery of Rockyboy and with the latter mocking of Santino's status and class order, further angering the latter of Rockyboy's mockery which eventually led to the brawling and punching of Rockyboy towards to Santino, forcing the latter to fight back and retaliate against Rockyboy, of which the commotions of the fighting between Rockyboy and Santino (who happened to be previously trained in boxing himself as a boxer) and Erika's screams from the dining room were overheard by Roberto, Jackie, Divina, Miguelito and Miguelito's close confidante Jason Bartolay within the Living room, with the latter five rushing in to pacify and stop the commotions in the dining room as Santino violently beaten down and punched hard a bloodied-faced and bruised Rockyboy to the face on the ground.

As both Rockyboy and Santino were pacified of the conflict, with Miguelito's close confidante Jason and another Guerrero bodyguard pacifying Santino and with Brando Mondragon and Rockyboy's bodyguard pacified of the brawling between the two, with Jackie even accusing Santino of disrespecting Rockyboy, let alone with Roberto even lecturing to Santino of not knowing of the person he attacked with, of which the ongoing commotion alerted Don Gustavo Guerrero and ordered members of both the Guerreros and the Mondragons to allow Santino to explain the situation, with Santino detailing of his accusation on accusing Rockyboy of lustfully seducing and molesting Erika, while Rockyboy denied Santino's accusations and labelling the latter as a "liar" while also accusing Santino of attempting to ruin the relationship between the Mondragon and the Guerrero families, while Santino also retaliated by also labelling Rockyboy as a "liar" to the latter, forcing Roberto to completely pacify and end the conflict between the two sides of the parties, while Jackie left an angering conclusory and accusatory note to Santino, accusing him of ruining the night between meeting of the Mondragons and the Guerrero, but not before Brando made an apology to the Guerreros before leaving the Guerrero mansion, with Miguelito making a conclusory concession note that Santino and Tanggol were true siblings alongside the late David.

Personality[]

He is introduced to be short-tempered and impulsive individual as he burst out his anger anything that triggers him such as Miguelito’s arrogance which was seen during his introduction in the series. With his impulsiveness, this drives him to be reckless and irresponsible of his action disregarding their family name and also to their closest ones which annoyed by his father, Brando.

It was also revealed that he is a sadistic man who enjoys torturing his partners painfully beating them in brutal fashion as his arousal. He also stated that he likes girls who fights him back in his sadomasochistic method. He is a lunatic individual as he is fond of fantasizing himself during sexual activities by dressing up with different costumes and sadistically traps his victims which he claims that everything he does is some sort of role plays. His behavior was also called as “weirdo” which was referred by Dimples upon they introduced themselves to each other. However despite of his intimidating and sadistic nature, he can be childish in some moments as he throws a fit after severely injured by Tanggol stating that he will be after Tanggol.

For being a Mondragon, he is very loyal to his father and supportive to his business even by means of illegal schemes. When Divina returned home and reunited with her family, he frankly resents her stating that he will never accept her as his mother for abandoning him throughout his childhood and the only family he considers is his father, Brando. Despite that he considered Brando as his only family, he also somehow holds grudge to him for being a womanizer. However, later on he changed his heart and considered Divina again as his mother after both of them held grudge against Tanggol.
