Rodgers is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Phase Two) of Invincible: Atom Eve prequel comics and its animated adaptation, as well as a supporting antagonist in the Brit comics.

He is a scientist working with the Global Defense Agency directly under Steven Erickson and formerly alongside, Dr. Elias Brandyworth. He would aid his boss in performing unethical experiments on children to create a superhuman weapon.

He was voiced by Chris Diamantopoulos, who also voices Doc Seismic and Vidor in the same series, and portrayed Sotto Voce in Red Notice, Clark Ingram in Hannibal, David Willard in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Julius Pope in Pantheon.

Biography[]

His early life is unknown, but alongside Elias Brandyworth, he would be a direct aid of Steven Erickson, who helped Brandyworth experiment on a woman named Polly, who offered to work for them as part of an experiment. Unlike Brandyworth, Rodgers would never show any remorse for his actions and continue working for his cruel boss, aiding him in trying to retrieve Polly's baby from the hospital.

Over the years, Erickson would force the Scientist to experiment on more children (going from Phase Two-Five) birthed from a brain-dead Polly, with each experiment less successful than the last. Instead of manipulating matter like Samantha, they could only manipulate their bodies. Rodger would force the children to stay inside their tubes and personally train them to keep their form, though they could not be out of their tubes too long or they would lose form. As a result of the abuse, the children were extremely vengeful and became envious of Samantha.

The lack of good results from the experiments would frustrate Erickson and threaten to experiment on Rodger if he didn't show better results from his experiments.
