Roland Treece is the secondary antagonist of the 2018 superhero film Venom, which is based on the Marvel comic book character of the same name and the first installment of Sony's Spider-Man Universe.
He was a mercenary who was hired along with his guards by the Life Foundation and Carlton Drake's right-hand. He is tasked to retrieve Eddie Brock to take Venom from him so Drake can experiment with the Symbiote.
He was portrayed by Scott Haze, who also portrayed Frank Weaver in Antlers and Rainn Delacourt in Jurassic World: Dominion.
Biography[]
Roland Treece was the first assigned to apprehend the symbiote known as Venom from Eddie Brock under the orders of Carlton Drake.
Treece was sent to Brock's apartment with other mercenaries, intent on acquiring Drake's symbiote. When Treece ordered one of his mercenaries to bring Brock down, Venom helped Brock subdue Treece's minions. After a high-speed chase through the streets of San Francisco, Treece cornered Brock, but Venom took over Brock's body and nearly ate Treece. However, Treece was saved by one of the mercenaries, who lost his life after his head was eaten out.
Afterwards, Treece captured Brock at the hospital and brought him to the Life Foundation. However, Brock had lost Venom, much to Treece and Drake's anger. Treece brought Brock into the woods for execution and prepared to kill him. Unbeknownst to Treece, Venom had bonded to Brock's ex Anne Weying and, as She-Venom, was busy murdering Treece's minions. Eventually, She-Venom cornered Treece and killed him by biting his head off, then tossing his beheaded corpse aside.
