Rolando (misspelled as Ronaldo in the caption) is the main antagonist of the Helluva Boss episode "Ghostf**kers".
He is an infestor demon from Hell that lives on Earth with a human disguise, running the One-Star Wonder hotel where he brutally murders the guests. He comes into conflict with Blitzø and Millie once they come to find the killer of their newest client.
He was voiced by John Waters, who also voiced Mr. Royal in Moville Mysteries and Wendell Wilkins in Chucky.
Appearance[]
Under his human disguise, Rolando takes the form of an elderly man with unnaturally large jaw, blond, balding hair sporting a combover and a mustache (based off his actor John Waters' appearance). He wears a gray shirt with a red waistcoat.
In his demon form, he looks somewhat similar, although his skin is gray, his eyes are glowing yellow, and he has several fish attributes with his teeth, turning deadly sharp. His shirt turns black, while the waistcoat goes gray. From the little that's seen of Rolando's true form, it just seems to be a black, floating mass, vaguely resembling a fish with his face on the front.
Personality[]
At first glance, he appears to be a seemingly harmless (albeit oddly mannered) guy who works at the One-Star Wonder hotel and was rather kind to Blitzø and Millie, who asked them for help to get rid of the "ghost" that is haunting his hotel and killing his guests.
However, in truth, he is a cold, deadly, ruthless, psychopath who is willing to kill his own guests who either realize who is really haunting his hotel.
History[]
Some time before the events of the episode, Rolando sneaked onto Earth and started running the One-Star Wonder hotel to lure humans in, and murder them. His newest victim, Rita, whom he beheaded, ends up in Hell and asks I.M.P. to find and kill her killer, which she mistakes for a ghost. Blitzø accepts the offer due to his love of ghosts and goes to the hotel with Millie, despite her reminding him numerous times ghosts aren't real as human souls can't leave Hell or Heaven. When they enter the hotel under their "human disguises", they are greeted by Rolando in his human form, who tells them of the issue and gives them the keys to various hotel rooms.
While crawling through the vents, Blitzø and Millie split off, due to the latter being tired of the former's immaturity. While crawling through the vents, Blitzø falls through them and onto the hotel's floor. He seemingly encounters "Millie", but it turns out to be a faceless hallucination of her. Several other versions of Millie appear, each representing a deadly fate she could've met in various Season 1 episodes. The Millie illusions start tormenting Blitzø about his insecurities. He finally encounters a version of his mother, who burns to death before him as a reminder of how he accidentally killed her in a circus fire years ago.
The real Millie eventually finds Blitzø having a mental breakdown, and they talk about how he gave her a real life by introducing her to her husband Moxxie and proving she can be more than a lackey to other demons. After helping him get through his issues, the two return to their main goal, and Millie helps Blitzø realize that the only thing that comes to Earth to torture people mentally is an infestor demon. Rolando reveals himself to them and tries to kill them for finding out about his true identity.
Rolando battles the two imps and, after knocking them down, taunts them about being poor assassins before possessing Blitzø. Afterwards, he tortures the inner Blitzø by forcing him to experience his worst memories, and when Millie tries to intervene, he possesses his body to kill her. Rolando taunts Millie whilst fighting her, claiming that Blitzø only sees her as a brute. Millie, however, doesn't care about what he says, and taunts Ronaldo back that Blitzø can handle every physical pain that he can deal, and Millie beats Rolando so brutally as he wimps in pain and escapes from the imp's body after knocking him down near the pool.
Rolando foolishly tries to continue fighting them, but Blitzø taunts him before hitting him straight into the hotel's pool and then kicking his vacuum into it, causing it to electrify Rolando to death.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Ghost physiology - Rolando has a ghostly physiology that allows him to transform into a shadowy blob-like form.
- Human disguise - Like any Hellborn demon that's not an imp, Rolando can take upon a human form.
- Superhuman attributes - Like other demons, Rolando possesses superhuman qualities in strength, speed and durability. He's able to handle being kicked straight into walls, take on both Blitzø and Millie in battle without breaking a sweat, and should be comparable in speed to Robo Fizz, who dodged gunfire from Blitzø.
- Hand-to-hand combat - Rolando is a skilled enough combatant to take on Blitzø and Millie at once.
- Enhanced swimming - As a fish demon, Rolando is a skilled swimmer, far better than normal demons or humans.
- Teleportation - Rolando has been showcased to teleport during the episode.
- Flight - Rolando has been briefly shown flying in the episode, right before taking over Blitzø's body.
- Possession - Rolando can take over other demons and presumably humans.
- Mind manipulation - Once inside a person's mind, Rolando has total control over it, and can force them to watch their memories.
- Hallucination inducement - Rolando made Blitzø hallucinate various versions of Millie and his dead mother.
- Limited electrokinesis - Rolando can make lightbulbs explode with his mere presence.
- Black puddle manipulation - Due to his true form being a pitch-black creature, Rolando can summon and control dark puddles.

Trivia[]
- His name is misspelled as Ronaldo in the subtitles.
- Given that he's a fish demon, Rolando is likely from the Envy Ring, like the sisters Glitz and Glam.
- His human form resembles his voice actor John Waters.
- Rolando is never referred to by his name in the episode apart from the credits.
- Despite the fact that Blitzø and his organization encountered Verosika Mayday and Barbie Wire in their human disguises, Rolando was the first demon disguised as a human to die, likely due to having no prior connection to the characters.
- Before his episode's release, some fans assumed he was Leviathan, one of the Seven Deadly Sins who represents Envy.
- However, Leviathan made her first appearance in the episode "Mastermind", although she was a female, while Rolando was a male.
- Ronaldo's is from species called Infester demons, except to Blitzø and Millie they come to Earth to mess with people's heads, because of their demonic powers they are often thought or to be ghost.
- Rolando is the only demon I.M.P has been commissioned to kill in the realm of the living. The rest are all humans.
