Rosy the Rascal, formerly referred to as Anti-Amy, is a minor antagonist in the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comics, first debuting in Issue #193. She is the evil mentally unstable counterpart of Amy Rose who stalks Scourge relentlessly, and often times attacks anyone that even gets close to her, wielding a giant Piko Piko hammer much like that of her counterpart.
Appearance[]
Rosy looks similar to Classic Amy. She is a mobian hedgehog with a round head. She has pink fur that covers most of her body and peach skin on her muzzle, inner ears and arms, and green eyes with two medium-length eyelashes on each one. She also has five short quills on the back of her head, two triangular ears on top of her head, a black button nose and a fringe consisting of three small quills. Protruding from her back is one additional quill - slightly smaller than the ones on her head - and a short, pointy tail.
For attire, Rosy wears a yellow-ruffled skirt, green puffy-sleeved white shirt, white socks, blue sneakers with white shoelaces and soles, white wrist-length gloves, and red hairband.
Personality[]
In stark contrast to Amy Rose, Rosy is extremely sadistic, cruel, and violent. She also takes great interest in wreaking havock and "breaking" things, usually people, wherever she goes while keeping up a cutesy facade.
Like how Amy has an attraction towards Sonic, Rosy has an attraction towards Scourge, Sonic's evil counterpart. However, unlike Amy, Rosy takes it a step further by being a deranged stalker of his, and sees his rejection as a reason to physically attack him.
Trivia[]
- Both Rosy's name and design is primarily inspired by Amy's initial debut in Sonic CD before her redesign in Sonic Adventure, where she was also given the nickname "Rosy the Rascal".
- Rosy is the first evil version of Amy Rose to be introduced, with the second being Rusty Rose and the third being Thorn Rose.
- Of the three, Rosy is the only one to not be introduced in Sonic Prime.
