Roy Carmen is the minor antagonist of The Mentalist TV-show. He is a psychiatrist, who worked with Teresa Lisbon. He was played by Christian Clemenson.
Biography[]
After another shootout during an arrest, Teresa Lisbon is forced to visit a psychiatrist. This psychiatrist turns out to be Roy Carmen. Teresa finds it strange that she (and not Patrick Jane, who killed Dumar Tanner) needs to see a psychiatrist. In addition, Teresa believes that visiting Roy only makes her feel worse. In the next episode, Roy gives her coffee. After the coffee, Teresa feels bad. The next morning, Teresa is assigned to investigate the murder of William McTier, a pedophile she once arrested. The murder weapon is also found there. Rigsby finds Teresa's fingerprints on the gun. She does not remember anything. The case is handed over to another investigation team, led by Sam Bosco (Teresa's mentor and Patrick's rival). William was dating a woman who had a young daughter (it is assumed that William wanted to rape this daughter). The woman's brother, David, was hired to lure William to the place where he was later killed. But who exactly hired him and who killed William, David does not know. Patrick, meanwhile, hypnotizes Teresa Lisbon, but even under hypnosis she cannot remember what happened to her. Roy, meanwhile, tries to convince her to confess, but accidentally reveals that he knows the details of what the crime scene looked like. Details that only the killer could know. It turns out that Roy was hired by Milton Howard, the criminal Teresa was investigating. Roy and Milton are arrested.

- He is somewhat to Gorman. Both are corrupt law enforces who are hired to kill a criminal (Justin DeGeorge and William McTier respectively) by someone who paid them (Adrian Essex and Milton Howard respectively).
