Roy Rakoon, originally known as the Raccoon, is one of two main antagonists (Alongside With CEO Carl) of the Talking Tom & Friends franchise.
Initially appearing to be Talking Tom's new neighbor, he is in actuality a wealthy and deceptive thief who aims at stealing and turning the Town’s trust in him while secretly stealing from them, until he was exposed. He is the principal Talking Tom’s arch-rival and later his arch-nemesis.
He was voiced by Tom Kenny, who also voiced Patches in The Powerpuff Girls, Mumbo Jumbo in Teen Titans, the Penguin in The Batman animated series, the Ice King in Adventure Time, Reverend Rosty in Brickleberry, Commander Peepers in Wander Over Yonder, Knightbrace and the Common Cold in Codename: Kids Next Door and Starscream in Transformers: Animated.
Appearance[]
Roy is a brown racoon with chestnut fur, wearing a striped shirt and jeans connected with suspenders.
Personality[]
Roy is a very cunning and manipulative character who is able to manipulate others into believing what he says, and they will not even suspect that he is a liar. Thus, most of those around him trust him, and only Tom saw through his lies. Despite his despicable character traits, and actions, Roy still isn't without his redeemable qualities as he seems to genuinely care for Angela, possibly even having feelings for her, something which is hinted at multiple times. He also, cares for his online friend Billy, even doing a worldwide man hunt, just to find Billy. As a result, when he found out that Billy was actually Tom in disguise trying to get close to Roy, he was genuinely hurt, and this is arguably what leads to the events of the last two episodes, (aside from Roy already wanting Tom's life). He also sociopath as he escaped and left many people to die what make him also little bit narcissist, any ways he also very manipulative, cunning, and charismatic character.
Biography[]
Talking Tom Gold Run[]
Roy debuts in Talking Tom Gold Run as a thief in the golden snake at the beginning of the game. It's a mistake for a player to chase him, and to knock him out. Roy would appear in the teasers for the game where he would continue to steal a hefty amount of valuables which inadvertently alarmed The Talkings Friends who were provoked by his actions.
A Stolen Kiss.[]
Roy would harbour through Angela's resort house and mould quietly steal her valuables without her suspecting anywhere, just as he was about to leave with the loot, he would become thirsty after spotting Angela's lemonade drink that caught his eye and without hesitation, He would lean over and sip over the red straw while imagining the taste with his eyes closed, unfortunately however Angela's lack of awareness when she tries to reach for her drink when she accidentally leans over in-front of Roy (unaware that he is drinking from her glass) and accidentally kisses him which quickly startles the two as Angela's cucumber slice reveals Roy's awkward presence in-front of her and quickly leaves when Angela started to shriek in utter terror when she tries to spit out what had just happened, as Roy left with some of Angela's green face mask smeared onto his face as he begins to maniacally laugh unapologetically fleeing from the scene throughout traffic.
the Grand Theft,[]
Roy pretends to be a Hitchhiker when Hank pulls over his fan to help him get a lift and stubbornly helps Roy with storing the hefty bags of stolen loot as Hank initially started to Suspect Roy's deception after a gold tom statue popped out of the sack, Roy would quickly hijack the Van and drove away with the loot, leaving Tom, Hand and Angela attempting to reach the van and stare at hank, Roy would laugh at their misfortune while his van would drop small stolen valuables of Gold when Tom, Angela and Hank started to chase after him.
House Prank,[]
Roy would once again steal from Tom and Hank who were mending their big red house, Roy would see Tom focusing on hammering the Nail infront of a timid Hank in which he carefully pulled away the nail, leaving Tom to accidentally Strike Hank's hand which would flare up in pain, Leaving Roy to then flee onto the road with more stolen Loot.
the Hammer of Justice[]
Roy is once again chased after Tom, Angela and Hank who were dressed up as police officers and have him in pursuit which Roy would jump out of his van when they reached him and took off with the bag of goods where he would flee onto a random alleyway, Tom, Angela and Hank would later come to the scene looking for Roy in an attempt to find him, only for Hank to accidentally discover a manhole while eating a Donut. It was later Revealed that Roy keeps all the valuables, gold, loots and all sorts of stolen stuff under the tunnels of the sewer tunnels which he would attempt to stash behind and move the heavy forces in and out of the access holes until he was caught in the act and attempt to flee from Tom and Angela who were trying to corner him around the hideout, where Angela accidentally tackles Tom of whom she mistakes to be Roy as the Rakoon manages to reach onto an exit, and emerges from the manhole where Roy is defeated and scared away by Hank with a wooden hammer who took back Roy's loot as the criminal remains at large.
Epic Snow Run,[]
Roy would compete in the Skiing competition against the Talking friends where he would secretly sabotage the competition by going after his competitors, first was shoving amounts at snow at Ginger who would become rolling down, the second was Ben of whom he harasses by throwing a snowball after catching him off guard to then get pulverised by a metal blue flag, the third was Hank after reaching for a gadget that manipulate through the rod from the remote to turn onto the wrong direction to drive away Hank, the fourth was Angela of where he uses the remote from his gadget to pry open Angela's ski off her feet that leaves her to crash through and be moulded by the snow as a snowman infront of a traffic highway. Tom would then hear fait Screams of Angela who was about to be run over by a truck upon making up his mind as to wether he would let Roy win the competition or save Angela, Tom choses the second option and swiftly manages to tackle Angela away before the truck would go after her as Tom and Angela both see Roy as the sole competitor near the finish line but before he could reach the victory after envisioning praise of himself, Ginger (Whom he moulded into a rolling snow ball) pushes him away after being run over by the ball of snow which inadvertently helped Ginger defeat Roy and win the Competition, afterwards Roy would spitefully steal away the trophy and run away with it with the rest of the Talking friends presumably going after him.
Talking Tom Hero Dash[]
Roy appears, ordering the raccoons family to take over the land, and in the game, he kidnaps Tom's friends and takes them.
Talking Tom and Friends TV Show[]
Roy would first appear as the main antagonist of the fifth and final season, where he would move into the Town in order to deceive the town by getting rid of anyone who ever finds out the truth behind him, especially taking over Tom's life and secretly sabotaging and stealing from the entire town in order to prevent anyone suspecting him.
Neighbor Roy[]
He was briefly seen as a visionary in the museum, knocking Tom down as the "coolest man" in the city. Roy goes along with Tom and the others and is called "cool" by the town. Tom hated Roy for hitting him down with a "cool" statue in the museum. During a heated ceremony at Roy's House, Tom enters his house and knocks on Roy's pig statue, opening a secret door. He found a museum, an ancient crown and another hidden door. However, he decided not to investigate further.
Later, Tom Dons that Roy wanted Ruby in the museum and holds Roy in the museum. He accuses Roy of breaking up and executes a security system. Roy tells Townshend that he was entering the museum. Roy and hues to trusted Roy and hues Tom for damaging Roy's good deed.
Micro Spy Tom[]
Roy holds an auction for a donut statue. Tom decides to sneak into Ben's submarine, get into Roy's body and spy on him with his ball. However, the retinal scanner was too bright, and Tom presses the button leaving the submarine inserted into Roy's brain.
Ben, ginger and Hank reduce the taxi and enter Roy's body to save Tom. They find Tom, but the submarine is caught in the brain. Angela repeatedly beat Roy with a sketch of Tom. Later, when Tom is released and rescued, Ginger steps into Roy's mind, causing Roy to act uncontrollably and uncontrollably. To escape Roy's nose, Tom pulls out one of Roy's nose hair to make him sneeze.
Santa's Phone[]
Roy appears as a cameo in the episode "Santa's List" showing His silhouette is pictured on Santa's list.
Dude Ranch Showdown[]
Roy was chaperone of dude ranch field, singing to the children.
Later, Tom finds Roy and chases him to an abandoned mine, only to find that he was chasing nothing but a mirage.
My Sweet Halloween[]
Roy took part in a Halloween decorating competition. When Tom's pumpkin monsters attack, he is followed to the storage room. When they get out of the storeroom, Roy runs into the back garage, leaving friends.
He got first place in the competition but was later attacked by Tom and Valentine's Cupid cards.
The Incredible Super-Fan[]
Friends, along with Bongo and McGillicuddy, went to Roy's mansion to ask him where Hank went. He says that he saw Hank flying and led them to an electronic shop.
Roy to the Rescue[]
Roy saves Tom during a hot air accident. They entered the forest. Roy is convinced that he will be praised again for saving the man, leading Tom to spend the majority of the episode putting Roy in danger of saving him. At one point, Tom kills the suspension bridge where Roy was, only to fall in the process. They both argue about who will be the Savior, until Ginger ends up saving both.
Who is Billy?[]
Tom created a fake persona online in an attempt to discover Roy's secrets. Roy comes to the garage to tell the group that Billy has disappeared. After realizing that Tom has deceived Billy, he decides to settle the dispute between them once more.
Everybody Hates Tom[]
Tom tells Roy he is attacking robots who help attack the inhabitants and steal their property. He joins friends to investigate hacking in the forest. After finding evidence showing that Tom broke up the robots, Roy and friends left Tom at the forest.
Later, when Tom secretly visits the garage to clear his name, Roy admits to Tom that he broke up the robots before locking Tom in front of an angry crowd.
Talking Roy and Friends[]
Roy organizes a house party dedicated to showing Ben's new invention: real glasses. Meanwhile, the alliance of Tom's Worst Enemies helps Tom enter Roy's House and reveal Roy's secret room.
He has a team at speedway dedicated to Ben's latest assignment: virtual glasses. The alliance of Tom's evil enemies enters Roy's house, only to find Roy's secret room. After Tom went through and enters the secret room thanks to Darren tricking Roy into typing the password when he realized he was wearing the glasses all along, Roy's crimes were fully revealed to everyone. As he was immediately by angry civilians Roy escaped by getting his helper bots to turn on the crowd to give himself time while jumping into one of the bots that was carrying him away.
Before escaping, Roy activates a buckle which endangered the crowd through a self-destruct sequence in his house. Luckily Tom and his friends escaped while the crowd of civilians cheered for them, despite having his plan foiled. Despite his exposure, Roy gets the last laugh when the rupture from the remains of his house reached Tom and Ben’s house which was completely demolished as Roy laughed from the distance as he escapes. His current fate and that of the main characters are left unknown as of now, due to the series ending at a cliffhanger.
