Roy Stalin is the main antagonist of the 1985 comedy film Better Off Dead.
He was portrayed by Aaron Dozier.
Biography[]
Roy Stalin is a teen who lives in Greendale, which is in northern California and goes to Geendale High School. He is an arrogant bully and popular captain of the high school ski team. During the tryouts, he races down the K-12, a dangerous slope. At the tryouts, he would test some trying for the team, including Lane Myer. Roy has an attraction to Lane's girlfriend, Beth Truss, who is going to dump Lane for Stalin.
Roy tries Lane, who does good on the K-12, but stalls the timer on the stop watch and tells Lane he did not make it. Roy now has Beth for his girlfriend. During the high school year, Roy would sometimes taunt Lane Myer when he runs into him and Lane's friend, Charles De Mar. Roy and Beth one were eating at Pig Burgers, a restaurant owned by Rocko. He sees Lane get thrown out the kitchen down with a pig hat on and would make pig noises at Lane.
At school during lunch, he would see Lane with Monique Junet, the foreign exchange student from France and Ricky Smith. Roy goes over to them and taunts her and Lane. Lane stands up to Roy and challenges him to a ski race on the K-12, who at first calls Roy "chicken" and then accepts his challenge. Later on in the week, Roy is at the slope and Lane, with one of his skis damaged races Roy with one ski and them beats Roy in the race and is humiliated.

- The whole movie was inspired by director Savage Steve Holland's girlfriend dumping him so she could date the captain of the ski team.
- Aaron Dozier insulted Savage Steve Holland before he auditioned for the role of Roy Stalin. "When I came in, I didn't know who Savage Steve was at first.". Dozier told Moviefone. "I [looked at one guy and] said, "Who's this chubby kid? Turns out, he's the director." Holland decided Dozier was perfect and gave him the part immediately.
